"Come on!" You yelled, trying to drag your boyfriend out of bed.
"Ten more minutes," He groaned.
"We don't have ten minutes, Nico! It's almost lunch!"
Groggily, Nico stood. He sent you a half-hearted glare, and slipped into a jacket. You walked out of his cabin as he followed close behind you.
"Are you sure it's almost lunch? It looks pretty early..." You smiled. Even when he was tired, Nico could catch on to your plans pretty quickly.
"Chiron said it was okay for the two of us to leave the camp for the day," You replied, "I thought that maybe we could go act like normal mortals for once."
Nico grumbled something about not liking to be around mortals, but he didn't protest.

Soon enough the two of you arrived at your destination: A large mall filled with lots of stores. People walked past, and Nico inched closer to you.
"Gremlins," He muttered.
"What?"
"Giant gremlins everywhere," He finished. You looked at him incredulously. When he realized you were looking at him, he stifled a laugh. "Not you though. I like you."
You rolled your eyes, but couldn't help but smile. "Gee, thanks."
In return for being around "gremlins" you took Nico to Hot Topic to pick out whatever he wanted.

Back at camp, all of the other campers seemed to be staring at the two of you, and you couldn't help but feel a little bad. Nico wasn't a fan of attention, and having all eyes on him probably made him uncomfortable. But to your surprise, Nico didn't seem to be feeling that way at all today.
"BACK OFF, GREMLINS!" He yelled. He grabbed your hand and drug you into his cabin before anyone could say anything. You were laughing so hard that you'd started to cry.
"Seriously?" Was all you could manage.
"Seriously," Nico said with a smile, "I couldn't let those gremlins get my angel."
You blushed, but pulled him into a hug. "Damn right I'm an angel. But you're still a gremlin."
