I took Blake into the forest, eager to get a move on with the day. I knew when I was with her, I was like a completely different Yang. She brought out the best in me. We arrived to the middle of the Emerald Forest and I finally let go of Blake's wrist. She rubbed a circle around her wrist where I held her, but smiled shortly afterward.
"Okay, we're here. So please hold on while I go...do a thing! Yeah, it's kinda an important thing so I'll...be right back!" I saw Blake frown and look genuinely upset. I turned around to go back to her but smiled and turned back. I climbed into a tree where Blake couldn't see me. I had the stupidest idea ever in mind and hoped she wouldn't hate me afterward.
"Blake!" I heard her feet crunching the leaves below them. I saw Blake walk over to where I was, without a word. She looked up and around for a moment but then looked into my eyes, because I, where she found me, was upside down in a tree.
"Kitten, you really turn my PURR-fectly PAW-some world UPSIDE DOWN!" I earned a glare and a roll of the eyes from Blake, followed by a giggle. She smiled and had a slight blush across her face.
"She isn't blushing, is she? I REALLY must be imagining things. She looks so pretty". I smiled and fell out of the tree, earning yet another laugh from Blake, seeing her happy made me happy.
"I would do anything to protect you, Blake Belladonna. I just don't know how or when I'm gonna tell you that I love you and that I have since day one". She looked at me with a slight frown but smiled again once I smiled at her. My stomach growled rather loudly and we both laughed for a moment.
"Blake, I think it's time to go eat." She simply nodded her head and we walked back to Vale. We walked for a couple of minutes in the autumn breeze until we started nearing the restaurant. When we arrived, Blake already knew what to order. It took me a good 10 minutes to find out my menu was upside down while Blake laughed instead of pointing out to me. We stayed for a while after we ate, laughed, told stories, and got to know each other better. I was really excited to show Blake her surprise so I convinced her to leave with me. I had paid the bill, and I was about to take Blake to her 'surprise'.
