He looked at me from under his hood with his blue eyes. "I was curious about you too, which type of lady wears pants in public." "I do, since I'm proud to be a Belmont." He smirked and nodded. "Good enough to be a true Belmont." He let go of my hand and chuckled. "So you must be Jack's little one right?" "I'm not little." I said as I took another sip from my ale. He took it off my lips and took a drink from it.  " he seems to dislike me by the way he's looking at us." I looked back over to Jack, he definitely looked displeased. He stood up and leaned closer to me. "A pleasure Minomi Belmont, I really do hope we meet again." He took my ale and walked out the cafe. I walked back over to our table. "Seems I was wrong." "Who was that?" "Rafael Belmont." "Stop teasing me." "I'm serious." I looked at him directly in the eye. "It was Rafael Belmont."  Uehara smiled. "Isn't he the best Belmont existing?" She asked as she stirred her coffee. "Yes." I answered as I stole Jacks Ale. Kura and Ani grabbed my hands. "What's he like?~" "he's cool I guess." I felt the pressure of Jack being there. Jack put his arm around my throat. "She doesn't need a Rafael. She has me." Kura chuckled. "Whatever." Ani smiles. "Yup yup." I honestly loved Jack, but as a sibling. He technically raised us since we lost our parents. We both made a promise we'd hunt down that vampire who killed my family.  But as the years went by and we grew together, his sibling love for me became something more. I never really thought about that type of thing, I just wanted to keep my family well fed, dressed and safe above all.  "Ah it time to go home." Kura said as she looked outside the window. "We can't stay out that late. After all we might get attacked by the fog man." "Fog man?" Both Jack and I asked while sitting up. "Yes, my guess a vampire." Ani said while tilting her head to a side. "Or it could be a psychotic murderer." Kura said while tilting her head the other side. Uehara bit the end on her glove. "Most likely a vampire though." "Jack could you walk them home?" "Sure." I walked out the cafe and walked out in the streets. I admired the dresses the woman wore as I walked back towards the academy. When someone tugged on my wrist and pulled me into an alleyway. I kicked upwards, then stepped hard on their foot, then I pulled out my whip and whipped towards them. He jumped out of the way. "Geez,  women sure are aggressive these days." It was Rafael Belmont. "Ow my foot." He lightly tapped it against the wall. "Sorry sir Rafael Belmont ." He pulled off his hood and chuckled. "No need for formalities . Also not bad on your skills you actually managed to step me." I tied my whip and put it back into its place. "I was going to call you a newbie, but it seems you know what you are doing." He smirked and whipped his long brown hair out of his jacket. "So what you say we do some hunting?" He asked. I tilted my head to the side like my siblings did. "But I just got out of the academy." "Perfect timing, plus you'd be with me. I'm the best am I not?" "True." I walked over to his side. "So where to and also does Mr. Johan Belmont know I'm going with you?" "Yes, I asked him first. You know what he said." "What?" I asked looking up at him. " that you're short." "Excuse me?!" I punched upwards and he dodged it by slightly tilting back. "I'm kidding, he said you were the best he's had so far." "Whatever." I pouted and walked next to him. He pulled his hood back on then pulled mine as well. "They can't see you're face, it wouldn't end well if they memorized it." "True, they could tell others about you and they could work together in finding out your weakness." "Hm.. good you did pay attention in class." "Of course I would." He stopped me and pulled out his whip, however his was made of silver and had the Belmont family symbol. He whipped upwards to the roof and tied it around a lamp he climbed up and waited for me to do the same. I pulled off my whip from my belt I did the same as him and pulled myself up faster then him. "Speedy one are ya?" He asked a bit teasingly as he jumped towards the other roof. I stepped a few steps back and ran then jumped over to the next roof, i did a small roll to slow me down and land safely. "Hm..you're interesting. Are you a tomboy?" He asked again teasing. I punched him in the shoulder. "Ha ha, tomboys are great."  "Whatever." I pouted and followed behind him. Who would've thought everyone's hero, Rafael Belmont was such a tease. He jumped down towards the floor but used his whip to make his landing safe. I jumped into a haystack without needing to use my whip. "Wow Miss Belmont, no need for a whip." He did a mock clap. "Stop mocking me Rafael." "Sorry it's just funny to see how you do things." "Everyone is different." "I thought everyone was the same." "Stop teasing." "Sorry sorry." I brushed off my jacket before following behind Rafael. "So New Belmont."
"I have a name." I whispered as I pulled out my whip. "I know but it's boring to call someone by their name."
"You're weirder than I expected Rafael."
"That's what everyone says once they meet me. Also I'll call you Lonely Belmont." I looked up at him and I shrugged. "Whatever." He smiled and put his hand against his lips. "It seems we are being watched."
I nodded. I tugged on my whip and looked around the place. We were in an empty street, there was only one candlelit lamp. I heard something rustle behind me. I side jumped to the side and balanced myself against the lamp. Rafael pulled out his whip, and whipped sharply in front of him. The attacker stopped and fell to the ground. It looked up to me with its beady black eyes. I could feel his bloodlust as he tried putting me into a trance. "Well Lonely Belmont, show me what you got." I motioned to the vampire to stand up. His beady eyes locked with mine as it pushed itself up. I always believed in fighting with vampires fair and square which probably was not the best thing to do but I did it anyways. He threw himself at me. I whipped at the floor hitting his ankle, he fell forward and I kicked him faster towards the wall. His face scraped against the brick wall. He got angry and threw himself at me, revealing his fangs. I shuddered at imagining those fangs piercing my delicate skin on my throat. I sharply whipped him twice in his thighs making him groan in pain. While he was distracted I kicked him down. Making his nose crack against the cobblestone ground. I whipped his hands together, making his fingers interlock inside out. He screamed in pain. I pulled out my silver dagger and stabbed him directly in the heart . His beady black eyes became white as snow as his skin seemed to crack up. His blood got on to my hand. I pulled my dagger out and put it back into its sheath. Rafael clapped. "That was interesting Lonely Belmont. How did you know where to hit precisely, to interlock its fingers like that." I wiped my hands with my handkerchief and I looked back up to his blue eyes. " I learned from those tales Jack told me, when I was little." "Tales?" I slipped on my black gloves and I nodded. "The tales of Johan Belmont, of his hunts, I heard the way he described it so I tried it that way." He whistled. "Dang, woman. Just from listening to something you can do it."
"Try it Rafael, your better than me."
"I'll do it. But it's a secret between you and me."
