It was the day of the party. I was borrowing one of My sisters elegant party dresses. My brother laughed at me. "Wow you wore a dress for once." "Shut up kid." I said as I walked out the door. Jack grabbed my hand from inside the carriage. "So cuz, shall we attend the party."
"I'm going alone Jack."
Sir Wallace's mansion was great. I walked through the gigantic doors probably bigger and more expensive than the life I looked forward to. There were maids and servants welcoming guests. When I took a step on to their green carpet. A maid looked at me and smiled. "You must be Maribell. We have been expecting you miss." Yup, so not creepy at all I thought. I held my whip from underneath my dress and smiled. "Yes, um is Sir Wallace here?" I asked with my tempting voice hoping to be led to him. "Yes of course miss, he's waiting for you in the dinner hall, we have a seat reserved for you." The maid walked me around his mansion. To be honest I never imagined a place so elegant could exist. I admired the dresses worn by the higher up looking ladies as they admired my face. I looked around the paintings and the pots, and the fine tapestry. This place you could call my dream palace. She opened a golden painted door. It was a dining hall filled with happy guests. They took a glance at me. "I've never seen her before a traveler?" A heard a man say to his wife. Then I recognized a woman. Her eyes narrowed. "Isn't she the shameless woman from the cafe?" "No you must be mistaken, I heard she's Jacks cousin." The maid led me to a chair next to Sir Wallace. He smiled greatly revealing his flash of teeth. No fangs yet in sight I thought as I smiled flirtatiously. He kissed my hand, and I thought of how much soap I'd have to use to remove that feeling. "So Maribell welcome to my home." "Sir Wallace you are flattering me." He clapped and had the maids serve me freshly cooked food. The steak was rare, like when I mean really rare, like the red liquid called blood seaping out. I took a few bites then turned to look at him. The musicians played their joyous music, when I noticed the time. It was late, really late, it was now or never. "Sir Wallace." "Yes miss Maribell." I grabbed his hand and smiled. "Isn't it a bit to boring in here, I'd like to get to know you, " he smirked and nodded. "This way then shall we." His smile revealed a small thing. A fang. I wrapped my hands into his arm and let him lead me around his mansion. The more we walked the darker the mansion looked. The painting became more grim, the colors were opaque. He opened a red colored door. "Ladies first." "What a gentleman~" I walked in and held my whip tightly underneath me dress. The lights went out. "Sir Wallace." The light went on again. He sat on a couch. He didn't have the gray mustache. He was young, or so he deceived us to believe. His fangs were sticking out as he smiled. "Maribell, come here." He motioned for me to come closer. I walked over to him and smiled. "Sir Wallace you're younger than I thought." He grabbed my hand and pulled me next to him. I could feel his breath against my throat. I pulled out my dagger from my boot and I stabbed it into his chest. He pushed me off the couch. I hit my back against the table. "That's not how you treat a lady." I yelled at him as I got up. My dagger still in his chest sparkled in the candlelight. "So A vampire hunter huh Maribell. It'll be more interesting to kill you."
"In your dreams." I tore off the skirt revealing my pants with my vampire hunting gear. I pulled out my whip and whipped sharply towards him. He dodged it gracefully and chuckled. "Wow, you're a whip user. My guess, a Lone Hunter.perfect no one will save you from my insatiable thirst." He walked towards me calmly as if I was a small bug about to be stepped on. He tried reaching for my hand. I kicked his hand away from me and I whipped at him again. My whip wrapped around my dagger and I yanked it back. I grabbed my dagger as I did a small jump over his orange table. I whipped at his feet, he jumped back and landed perfectly on the table. "Is Maribell even you're name Belmont?"
"That's not necessary for you to know." I replied as I flipped the orange table with a kick. He jumped off and stepped on the ledge of the table while it flipped. From what I've heard he was at least a harder level type of Vampire. Like a class 3 or 4. I was barely a beginning Vampire what was Rafael thinking of having me do this job. He kicked the table upwards making it crash against me. I hit the painting on the wall. I slid to the floor. Was I going to die here? No, I just started. I watched him walk closer to me, then I whipped his thigh. He fell forward , I pulled out my dagger and stabbed it into his heart. "Die." I cried weakly. He fell back and coughed. "Wow not bad for a newbie.you actually got me." He fell over his rug and hit against the floor. I tried to get myself up. I coughed out blood. He slightly cringed as if wanting to attack me again but he was too weak to stand up. I pushed myself up using the wall as a guide and slowly walked over to him. I put my cross necklace against his forehead. "Die." His perfect white skin started to sizzle and curl up as the cross touches his face. I had completed my first mission. Sir Wallace, I fell back and hit against the wall. I could hear loud footsteps in the hall. Then everything went black.
