Luke's POV:

I cant believe it's been a month already since Lindsey's sudden death. I replayed the moment I stood by her coffin over and over, and as we laughed together every Friday afternoon. Her locker was just around the corner. It now stood empty, although I had managed to snatch one thing from it before they took away her things. She gave me the spare key, she was a forgetful sort of a person. She used to come to me with everything. I was nearly like a brother to her. I can't believe that she's gone.

-Hey, Luke!

-Hey Steph. What's up sis?

-Nothing, what about you?

-Good question... But I don't really have a good answer to that.

-Look, I know its harsh but you have to start living your life and forget about Linds. It's the only way. Oh and can you tell Mom I'll be home later. I..ummm...have somewhere to go. So yeah....see ya later!

And she was gone. She was so lively and awake, while I felt like I have just woken up from hybernation sleep. Weird huh?

-Steph!

-Oh hi Melanie! What's up with you and Steve? I heard you guys are dating!

-Ummm..well yeah sorta, but it's not official yet so don't blab it out..

-Haha, no problem Mel. I'll see you at English right?

-Yeah, I guess so.

Stephanie closed her locker and was about to storm out of the changing/locker room and go to conference hall no. 243, when something caught her attention. She crouched down and picked up a small plastic sachet. It was empty but some of it's contains remained in the packet. She slipped it into ther bag. Without further thought she ran up the stairs and through a hall. She intended to inform the principal. She definately didn't want anyone else end up like Lindsey did. This event had shaken her. Then someone caught her by her wrist and covered her mouth. The guy was wearing a mask on his face so she couldn't recognize him. He was definately muscular and strong, she judge by the force he held her with. He and his friends dragged her behind a wall, and lead her to a storage room, she never knew existed. Once they reached it they closed the door. There was five of them there. Each wearing a bandana around their mouths and nose. One guy was guarding the door the others were standing around, looking extremely bored.

-Stephanie Losei, freshman year. Age?

-16. A guy standing next to her mumbled. She glared at him, as if she wanted to ask: "Were u stalking me?" His eyes were hazel grey. Unusual. She wondered if he wore contacts. He looked down, as if to say: "I'm sorry, they made me."

-So Steph, where were you going to so fast?

-Only friends can call me Steph. You aren't one of them as far as I can remember.

-Oh, don't be so cold to me baby. We will be best friends soon, sweetie.

Stephanie bit on her lip nervously. Around her was a lot of people so escaping wouldn't be smart. The doors were locked and she had nothing she could use as a weapon. Instead she just said.

-I don't think so. Unless this is your way of treating friends. Now if you could let me go. I have a conference to attend to. It's extremely interesting and I wouldn't like to miss out on it, especially since I'm the main speaker. Her voice trembled with fear and panic, she just hoped they wouldn't notice.

-Scared, are you? Said the guy who had bound her wrists at first. He must have noticed.

-We won't take long. Just a minute or so, right guys? They all nodded.

-Mark her.

At that sentence Steph tensed. The group of boys started shuffling around. They opened up sealed boxes and began preparing something. They gave the beautiful eyed boy the box and he gladly took it. The hazel grey-eyed boy gave her a reassuring look and took out a steel wand out of the box. It looked like a pen but it didn't have the ink part in it. He made her sit on the stool and gently took her hand. He unbuttoned her handcuff carefully and sighed. His hands moving with such grace that Steph didn't even realize what was being done to her. They were in a gloomy storage room on the bottom of the school. His hands didn't shake, not once. When he finished carving something in her skin, he looked up at her in disbelief. She didn't flinch or shout, nothing. Her wrist was stinging and it was a little red in the place where the boy with the beautiful eyes had "marked her". She still didn't understand what was going. Her wrist was perfectly clear, no stain, nothing visual.

-You are going to be a donor. Said the leader, she presumed, breaking the silence.

-Exscuse me? Her voice came out thin and scared.

-A donor for the Master. The boy repeated.

-What does that mean?!

-Means you're special. Something like limited edition darling. Now you can go. See you soon. He answered with a hint of evilness in his voice.

She didn't even get to react and was dragged out of the room and left on the corridor. Alone.
