Lindsey's POV

I wandered around the glass halls for an endless amount of time, admiring the statues and carved in glass decorations or statements. My goal was to get to my room, dress in my old clothes and inhale the scent of familiar things. Everytime I thought that I'm on a right track, the staircase led to a different hall. i was texhausted after hours of searching for the right room. My feet felt stiff in the unconfortable white platform boots. My head felt heavy on my neck and I was dizzy. I was going around in circles in a dead silent world of weird figures. Please let it be a dream, let me wake up. I want to be awake. And then I fell down on the floor unconscious.

Daewon's POV

I was walking around the halls, overthinking my options. My uncle, The Leading Light gave me an ultimatum. I either stay a guardian and do ordianry work around the Glass City or I become a commander and then undartake the responsibility of a huge part of the city. I didn't feel ready for becoming a commander. It would mean that I have to leave my freedom, my easiness will be gone. I was just about to go and declare my choice to my uncle when I saw a girl lying on the floor. Her dense hair forming a fan over her head.

Probably one of the Juveniles. I walked up to her. She seemed fragile. Her face looked pale and drained of life. I checked her pulse in the neck area to see if she was maybe dead. No, I could feel the blood being pumped. Carefully I llifted her up and carried to the infirmary. Her hair was so soft, her eyelashes long. She was so thin, for a Juvenile. She was beautiful.

I stared at her until I reached the door of the infirmary. When I reached it  I told the infirmarian to send someone for me when she woke up. Meanwhile I forgot all about the choice I made, my head was filled with mixed emotions about the girl, as well as some questions about her.

Lindsey's POV

I stared at the blank white ceiling, trying to remember where I am. Around me I could hear noises. I felt the smooth texture underneath me. It was silky and kind to touch. I tried getting up, but my head ached.  On my upper arm there was a dressing which was already soaked in blood. I frowned as I saw the blood, and looked under the dressing. I had a deep cut on my left upper arm. It was already stiched up. I groaned as I tried moving my hand. Ignoring the pain I walked over to the door, which opened abruptly. A wave of fresh air took me off balance. I realised I was still dizzy. I saw a young man streching his arms and keeping me from falling.

"I'm fine, it's just the blood. Really.." I said although I was weak and my voice was just a whisper.

"No, you're not." He said. "Let me lead you to your bed. You have to rest, you're so pale."

I let him lead me, I didn't care really. I nodded neutrally. His strong arms held me at the shoulders and waist. They were gentle and kind, if you can say that. I felt a spark of savety.

Daewon's POV

I led her to the bed. She didn't look good. She was still very pale and weak. I thought about giving her some fluids that would energize her. I wasn't a qualified doctor but I learned a few trick from my mother. The girl didn't flinch when I inserted the needle into her arm. When I noticed the blood soaking her dressing, I swiftly changed it and thought that I should give her a transfer because she has lost a lot of it. Maybe that was the reason why she was so pale, afterall she was just unconscious. At leat that was what the infirmarian said.

I stayed there at her bed for about another 40 minutes, to be there when she wakes up. I watched her chest move up and down, in a regular motion. Her lips were parted, expression calm. I stared at her until her eyelids fluttered open. She revealed her beautiful eyes, and turned her head to face me. She smiled after a moment of looking at me. Then closed her eyes again for just a moment though. She opened them again and whispered "Thank You", before drifting out again into sleep.
