I don't know what I'm doing. Here I am, rushing around my house getting things together avoiding my siblings from asking the same questions and on the phone with Clarence. I now know how mothers are so stressed. They do everything all at one time. No wonder they dye their hair so much.
My mom is sitting at the table, because I told her that I don't want help. She is twitching because for some reason she really wants to help. Why do parents do this? Why do they put everything down to help their children? As much I love them, which is a lot, I want to do this all by myself because I am a spoiled brat!
"Sumo, what is the plan?" Mom asked.
"I wanna surprise Jeffrey tonight with something he can't forget. That is when I will tell him that I love him and want to spend the rest of my life with him." I said as I put candles in my bag.
"That's a really big thing to say, sweetie."
"It's the truth, Mom."
"Well, if you say so then great. But don't put anymore candles in there. I don't want a fire to happen because of all those candles."
"Thanks . . . do you know where the donuts are. Jeffrey only eats them if he hasn't had something sweet all day. Which is why I made sure that he didn't eat anything sweet."
"Third cereal box to the right."
"Seriously?" I asked as I reach up there.
She smiled, "How else do you think I don't lose my mind? I have secret stashes everywhere."
"Oh, I'm so gonna find those."
"Good luck, not even your father has found them yet."
I looked at her, her warm smile as she got up and gave me a kiss on my forehead then walked out, going to tuck in the siblings. I look back at her, and nodded to myself. I'm so going to find those secret stashes. I shoved in everything in my bag and walked outside, thinking to myself. I want to make sure that I have everything.
Opening my car door to the back seat, I put everything in the back. I counted everything, counted the candles, the food and pillows. Blankets! I can't believe I forgot the blankets, why do I always forget something? Sighing, as I walked back inside and went to my bedroom, which I shared with my older brothers. I grabbed my blanket from my bed and walked out, only to slam into my dad.
I fell back on my bottom and look up. He looked down as he held out his hand. I took it and he lifted me up, I went back down for the blanket then smiled at my dad. He is chewing on something, I never try to figure it out, and he look down at the blanket.
"Going out with Jeff?" He asked.
"Yup." I said with a nod.
"It's going to rain tonight . . . I would wear a jacket."
"Gotcha."
"Yup."
"Bye dad, see you later!"
I walked past him and walked outside to my car. I put the blanket inside, forgetting to bring a jacket, and climbed in the driver side. I turned on the car, put my radio on a low high, and pulled out of the house. Making my way to Jeff's house, I thought about the entire night and what's my plan.
First, I would lay everything out at our special spot. That hidden place where I took him to watch the stars. Then I would go to his house. I turned down the road to our hidden place. After getting there, I quickly laid everything out but keeping the food with me. Then I finally made my way down to Jeff's house, like I said earlier but this time it's the real deal.
Jeff is sitting out on the front porch, wearing a rain jacket. So I'm guessing that rain is coming. I smiled at him as he walked over. I opened the passenger door and he took a seat. He looked at me, and I gladly looked at him. I like his eyes, no scratch that. I love his eyes.
See how I used that big word again? If you guys can't tell by now, I am in love with Jeffrey. If you can't . . . you need help.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
He smiled, "I'm not so sure. I'm scared that you might murder me because you won't tell me what happening."
"Jeffrey, have I ever killed you?"
"I'm sitting right here, Sumo. That should be your answer."
"Besides, my dear Jeff, I plan to make this the best night ever."
He blushed, "It's always fun with you."
I nodded like an idiot. Jeff laughed and turned to face the front. That's how he get's me. Tells me something that makes my heart flutter, then turns around with laughs. Like, who can handle this cuteness? Before I can do more thinking, I drove out to our hidden place.
I pulled up at our hidden place. I quickly turned off the car, jumped out and slide across the car roof and opened Jeff's door. Jeff laughed at my amazing actions. I held my hand out for him to take because I am a gentleman. Jeff took the hand and I led him to the blanket. We both sat down and I passed him a gift bag full of donuts.
I know, I'm so amazing.
"Is this why you didn't let me eat anything sweet?" Jeff asked with a smile.
"Yes, I was seriously hoping that you didn't eat anything sweet at home." I replied.
"Thank God you brought donuts, I thought I was going to go crazy."
"You're welcome. I only think of you, babe."
"Some people would find that creepy but I actually find it sweet."
"Well, what do you think of me?"
"What do you mean, Sumo?"
"Like, I think you're amazing, smart, cute and super super nice. When you wanna be. And I also like your face, body, hair, everything about you. I also think when you get angry it makes you cuter and I also like it when you out smart almost everyone you come in contact with."
He smiled with a blush covering over his cheeks, "I think . . . you're funny and sweet. I like how you never think things through but at the same time you do. I also like how loyal you are to your friends, I also like how you plans these things out for us. And only for us."
I looked at him. That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. Jeff looked over with those soft blue eyes. Without thinking, it looks like Jeff is thinking either, we both leaned over and pressed our lips together. This is our first kiss!
And to make it even more romantic, it started to rain.
Oh yeah.
