You know, when you think sleepovers for us guys . . . you don't think staring at each other for an hour straight. Not to mention that we are also on our feet. So yeah, that what's has been happening since our little dance with mister Ed Sheeran. We just couldn't look away from each other.
Jeff wrapped his arms around my neck, moving just a little closer. We began to sway a little bit but no music playing in the background. His blue eyes stay looking into mine. His messy hair spread across his forehead with sweat still in his hair. Bags underneath his eyes and pale skin with some red in his eyes, knowing that he is really tired.
He leaned down and pressed his head against my chest. I wrapped my arms around his waist and brought him close. His arms slacken against my shoulders as he sighed. I don't know if he just fall asleep or what but I wasn't going to let him stand on his feet anymore. I pick him up bridal style and walked to the couch.
After sitting him down, he grabbed my shirt and brought me down. Jeff groaned under my weight, which made me slide off and landed right next to his side. He wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his face in my chest.
I raised my eyebrow, "I never knew this is how you act when you're tired."
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, anyway I like it."
"Why?"
"I think it's really cute."
He moved his head back to look at me, "Oh, really?"
"Yes."
"Well, which one you think better? Me giving you a hickey or hugging you when I'm tired?"
"Both. Always both."
He giggled, "You're so lame."
"Excuse you! You need some sleep."
He put his leg across mine and grabbed my shirt. Everything felt right and good. I looked up at the ceiling, wondering how long this can last. Just Jeff and I being alone. Just Jeff and I being together. Just Jeff and I. That's it, that's all I wonder.
How long do Jeff and I have together?
Will I ever get the guts to tell him? I mean, he already knows that I like him and he's waiting for me to confess. But how am I going to do it? Clarence big idea is just saying it or do it naked. I can't do the last one, how is that any romantic? Is that how I want our wedding speech to me?
Me telling him that I love him naked?
No, thank you. I rather want something that won't make me cringe every time I think about it nor do I want to blind Jeffrey by my pale body! This is a lot harder then people think. Confessing is hard, not to mention when you want to confess to your crush. Which is way harder!
Before I could go bald because of my life crisis, I want to take a nap. More like nap and never wake up so I don't have to stress anymore.
---
School.
That one word already makes gag as it is. Now I'm here with barely any sleep because I stayed the night at Jeffrey's Saturday (No complaint there) and then couldn't sleep at all Sunday! Why is the world so unfair? I just want one night to myself, just to sleep and not stress.
No! Life had to slap me in the face and yell 'sike'!
Curse life and school. Curse both of them.
Which is why I am here, trying to sleep in the library but it's not working. You think library's would have that old lady telling you to hush up, oh no. Not here. For some reason we have a younger person here who allows you talk as you read or do your homework with your friends. What kind of librarian does that?! I call hex.
Hex, I tell ya!
And when I think life couldn't be anymore harder than it is, here comes the dream couple of the school. Clarence and Belson. Clarence is guiding Belson to the table, because it looks like Belson found a new game. Clarence giggled as he sat down across from me and passed me a piece of paper.
"What is this?" I asked.
"Some ideas." Clarence said as he nodded. "I thought of some ideas when I ate those cupcakes. Sugar helps me think."
"Do I even want to look?"
"Come on, Sumo! I tried really hard! These ideas just can't stay in my little ole brain of mine."
"Clarence, you're my best friend . . . but your ideas aren't the greatest."
"No way. I think of the best ideas."
"I still have flashbacks of the whole camping trip."
He shrugged, "I told you that it was poison ivy. You just didn't listen."
I rolled my eyes and unfolded the paper. His terrible chicken scratch handwriting made my eyes blurry from the bright pink pen he used. Clarence snickered, which made me think he did this on purpose, and pointed at the first one. Which read, Just do it! and I looked up at him. He smiled before rolling his wrist. I looked at them and every single line has the same thing.
JUST DO IT!!
I sighed as he forward the paper and looked at him. He nodded while blinking so much I couldn't even focus on his eyes. Clarence cough in his hand before turning the paper around, allowing to me to see a Nike sign draw across.
"I hope you finally get the point, Sumo." Clarence said.
"Clarence, I can't do that." I said.
"And why not?"
"'Cause how is that going to make him remember it forever? How is that going to be a fun wedding speech."
"Sumo, there isn't going to be a wedding speech if you don't tell him."
"What if he already knows?"
"Then it'll be easier."
"And if he doesn't like me?"
"Impossible, Sumo, Jeff likes you."
"What if you're wrong!?"
He scoffed, "Stop doubting yourself. It's not good or not nice at all. Jeff likes you back, I think that he's waiting you to make the first move."
"This is hard."
"Only because you're making it hard."
I looked at him before looking back down at the folded paper. Should I just tell him? How romantic is that? How is he going to remember that before going off to college? Unless . . . I think of a better and more romantic night!
And I'm going to need some help.
Clarence coughed, "Uh, Sumo? Your face is doing the weird thing when you're thinking to hard again."
"Clarence, I am going to need your help."
"With?"
"My confession to Jeffrey."
"I'm in!"
