After the return to school from winter break-January

I walked into the student lounge with Reggie and Moose, my fingers playing with the necklace around my neck out of habit. "Can I use your homework?" "Bro, I was gonna ask you" "No fucken way! I thought I could ask one of you" I said with wide eyes as we all stopped in the door frame. "Little miss perfect didn't do the work either?" Reggie smirked, causing me to stomp down on his foot. He let a string of swears out as my brother laughed. "Who is someone we could ask?" I looked around the student lounge, my friends looking at us and waving me over, but I ignored them as I looked more.

"Aaron" I said, looking straight at him as he talked with one of the cheerleaders. "Go ask him for the home work" I said, smacking my brothers arm. "He'll probably give it to you if you go ask" "No way in hell" I responded. "He'll try to ask me out again!" I said as I started over to my friends. "You really wanna make an F on this assignment!?" I turned to glare at Reggie "Instead of ask that freak for it? Yeah, I would" I said before turning around and setting down in Sweetpea's lap.

"What's going on?" Betty asked and I sighed "None of us did last periods work and I said Aaron probably did, and they want me to ask him, that will not happen, nu-uh" "Whats the work?" she asked and I handed her the paper. "Oh, this is easy, let me see your pencil" I made wide eyes as I tossed her my pencil while she started to write across the worksheet.

After a few minutes, she handed the paper and pen back "Dude, I'm buying you a milkshake after school. Thanks, B" "I know history isn't your strong suit" "Is anything her strong suit?" "Jones" I warned as he chuckled and put a chip into his mouth. I shoved my stuff into my bag as Moose came over "Here, Ethel helped me" "Betty already did mine, thanks though" "Alright, I won't be home today by the way" I shrugged "Have fun with that" I replied as he walked off.

I leaned back against Sweetpea and he held my waist as my fingers played with the necklace on my neck. "Hey, you found it!" Archie shouted while leaning over to grab the necklace lightly, and I nodded in response. "Where was it?" "Actually it was in my closet, on a hanger that had a dress on it" I replied as I looked at it. It was a key necklace with the Disney castle in it, Donny got it for me when he went to Disney with a friend and their family.

It was one of the first pieces I wore regularly. We were 11 at the time, and I remember crying over it when he gave it to me.

Archie let go and leaned back in his seat as my fingers found their way to it again. "Guys, so Prom isn't that much farther away," Kevin said, and I looked at him "Where are you going with this, Keller?" "We need to start shopping for your dresses and everything" "Agreed," Cheryl said with a smile. I leaned my head back. "Guys, it's only January, calm down," I said with a laugh.

"Prom is in April, Caden. That's only like three months altogether since its the middle of January and Prom is the 8th!" I sighed and tossed my hands in the air "I surrender, but can we all agree we can't see each other's dresses? How about Kevin sees them and makes sure they aren't the same" "I like that idea" he added with a nod and I smiled. Soon we agreed to have a 'girls+Kevin day' out to shop.
