"Ow! Reggie that's my hair!" I screamed as Reggie started to zip my school bag up as we walked into the student lounge. "Shit hold on," He said, as I heard him drop his stuff to the floor. After a second he patted my shoulder, saying he fixed it. I scoffed and walked over to sit on the couch beside Fangs, while my boyfriend sat on the arm of the couch. I rubbed my head "I usually like my hair being pulled Jesus fucken Christ" I mumbled while rubbing it.

I heard my friends laugh at me and I rolled my eyes. "Believe it or not, but I think it's different than with a hand versus a zipper," Sweetpea said, making me stick my tongue out at him. I turned to Archie "What is this dinner about tonight and why can't we invite anybody over" I asked, and he gave me a small shrug before replying, "I know just as much as you do" I sighed and tossed my head back against the couch.

"Here, I got you a coffee, but we need to talk in the hallway" I looked up as Kevin came talking, running into the room towards me. I didn't reply, instead, I stood up and took the coffee as we walked into the hallway. "What's up?" I asked, leaning my back against the wall. "Are you aware of your brother and me? How we've been hanging out the past week an-" "I do, trust me" "What's going on?" I shook my head "I can't really talk about it" I said.

He gave me a sad look, and I sighed before reaching up to hug him. "I can't, it's not my place, Kevin. But, I love you anyways. And no matter what happens, you'll always be my best friend" I said, as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "I love you too" he whispered into my hair, causing me to smile and pull away "Come on, let's sit down," I said, wrapping my arm around his as we made our way into the student lounge where I sat back down by Fangs.

I sat the coffee on the table in front of me as we all sat around talking, laughing. "Caden? Is it possible your mom could be pregnant? And that's what the dinner is tonight?" I looked at Betty with wide eyes, then to Archie who had the same look. "She is only 33 years old, that's not too old to have another baby" "Your mom is only 33?!" I chuckled "Yeah, She got pregnant with Moose at 15, then 16 Donny and I came out." "I thought your parents met in college," Sweetpea said, and I nodded "They did, but my dad isn't my real dad," I said shaking my head, "I don't know him" I shrugged, before turning back to Archie "Betty has a point." I statted, and he nodded. Please don't be a baby...

----

"We're home!" I shouted through the house as Archie and I walked through the door before we set our bags on the kitchen counter and walked to the fridge. "Hey baby, hi Archie. Your dad's still at work but you're welcome to stay here. You kids hungry?" I turned to see my mom walking towards us, a smile on her face, and wearing a light pink pants suit.

I turned to Archie "Food?" he gave a small nod as he took a drink from a bottle of water, and I turned to mom "Can we have sandwiches" I asked and she nodded. I turned to Archie "Wanna do some homework?" "Yeah, I'm behind" "When aren't you," I ask with a laugh as I grab a can of cream soda and walk towards our bags, where we set at the bar top where my mom mad our sandwiches.

We both sat at the table, starting on homework, helping every now and then until the door opened. "I'm home!" "Do you want a sandwich, baby?" I turned to see Moose walking in, giving me a smile "Uh sure, make some room for me up here also I need help with history" he said, plopping his bag on the counter. When he sat down, I could see mom taking photos of us, which I ignored as I picked up the can of soda.

We sat at the table, working on homework or extra work for the next hour until the door opened again. "How was work, sweetie?" "It was good, I'm gonna go shower. Hey, kids" "Hi Fred!" I shouted over my shoulder as I put my history textbook away and grabbed my math. I had taken my shoes and jacket off by now, and I was leaned against the back of my chair annoyed.

"Sweetie, have you been looking into colleges?" "Yeah, uh I have been with Caden's help." "There's a really good one in Texas," I said with a nod, and mom gave us a smile. I smiled back before grabbing my pencil and starting on the math again. "What the fuck is the variable" I screamed while holding my face. "Caden!" "Mom, it's fine, she's overworking." "I don't want to hear the word anymore in this house!" I gave her a small nod but looked down to the paper, before looking to Archie "Help me" "You realize Betty helps me right" I cocked an eyebrow and we both looked to my mom.

"Can we run over to Bettys? We'll be like twenty minutes at most" "Hurry back" she said, waving us off. We both grabbed our math work and took off towards the door. We were both barefooted, and racing almost. I got to the door first, starting to bang on it until it swung open, and Alice stood with a horrified face "Mom said to hurry, can we get Bettys to help with math" I asked, and she rolled her eyes before letting us through.

We both took off running up the stairs, where I swung Betty's door open, and she jumped, looking towards us horrified "Help" I said, plopping down on her bed.

After a few minutes, we were back in the kitchen putting our homework away. Fred was in the kitchen, talking to mom about something we couldn't hear but they were both smiling. I grabbed my stuff and walked it up towards my bedroom, where I tossed it on top of my bed. I stood at my closet, putting my shoes away when I heard someone grunt and fall on my bed. I turned my head to see Archie. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my desk, where I sat in my chair and tossed my feet onto the desk.

"I'm so happy I can sleep in tomorrow" "Me too, I need to," I said as I glanced over to my snake cage, where I got up and walked over towards it. I picked Buttercup up and he started to slide around in my hand. I sat back down in my chair, letting him rest on my stomach. "Your mom's birthday is Sunday isn't it?" I nodded "Yeah, she said Fred and her are gonna be gone most of the day but she wants us to have a family dinner" "What are we gonna have?" I shrugged while running a finger down Buttercup.

"I'll have to ask," I said before standing up with my snake and walked out, down the stairs. "Dinner is almost done, do you want to set the table, baby?" I nodded before letting Buttercup wrap around my neck, resting his head against my shoulder. I quickly washed my hands before grabbing everything and sitting on the table. I'll sit head table, mom, and Fred across from each other, then Moose and Archie across from each other. I walked into the kitchen as Fred passed me with a glass pan, and then mom walked by with pots.

I opened the fridge and grabbed a sprite before walking to sit at my seat, hearing my mom shout for the two boys. Buttercup was slithering around my neck and face, before he ended up going into my shirt, and just sticking his head out, resting on the top of my boob. I laughed as everyone sat down and they looked at me, so I pointed at him.

"What have I told you about having snakes at the table Caden Darling" I let out a small huff before running up to my room, where I put him away and quickly rinsed my hands off in the sink. When I got back, everyone was making their plates so I started to make mine also. Mom made pork chops with mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob.

I played with the ring on my finger as we sat silently and ate. Mom and Fred held hands across the table, which was kinda off. "Alright, there's no better time then now," Mom said, sitting her fork down. I looked towards her, please don't be pregnant I can't handle it. "Fred and I... We um-" "We're getting married" I stared at my mother for a second before I let out a breath "Thank God," I said as I put my fork down and covered my face.

"Thank god?" "Well" I started, "We thought you might be pregnant" "No, no, nu-uh. You three are enough" I let out a small laugh. "Wait, you're getting married. So that means that we're moving in together, right?" I looked at my brother, who was looking between the two parents. Mom nodded and picked up her wine glass, so Fred answered "Yes, and we've found a house- in Riverdale of course, we've bought it already" I nodded a little bit, staring at my food.

At least it's still in Riverdale. "When are you getting married?" I asked, looking towards my mom. "We were thinking maybe August" "That's six months away," I said, and she nodded before giving me a smile. I looked to Fred "Can we go see it? Tonight?" I asked, and he glanced towards my mom before giving a small shrug, "I don't see why not" I smiled and started to eat again.
