My motel door flew open, letting the evening light sep in. "I can't believe that you....."

I quickly jumped, flung him into the wall. I took a deep breath. "Don't scare me like that. I could have killed you."

Sweet Pea sighed and got up. "We're on our way to that Archie kid's house, we're gonna jump him."

I sighed deeply and closed my laptop. "Guess finish hacking when I get back."

"What?"

"I'm going with your dumbasses to make sure you don't kill the soulless ceature." I picked up my jacket.

"Wait is he actually soulless?"

I rolled my eyes. "No, you idiot."

"What were you hacking in the first place?"

"It doesn't matter, you see later I guess."

Timeskip

I walked with the boys up to the house's front door. Archie opened the door as we got to it.

"How stupid are you Northsiders? You really think you can come into my house, stick a gun in my face, in front of my girl and my boys, and there wouldn't be any payback?" Sweet Pea asked.

The door opened wider to reveal a sharp-jawed Asian boy. "You have crap timing, bro. Bulldogs eat Serpents for lunch."

"We'll see about that. And the more the merrier." Sweet Pea tried to step into the house.

The Asian guy shoved Pea backward.

"Reggie, chill." Archie held him back. "Veronica stay here."

"Erika, go wait in your car." Sweet Pea glanced back at me.

"Like hell."

"What Archie no." The black haired girl grabbed Archie's arm.

"Erika, I don't want you in this." Sweet Pea said without looking at me.

"If you wanna fight, we'll fight." Archie stepped forward.

"What about your gun?"

"What about your knife?"

"How about no." I pulled Sweet Pea back.

"How about no weapons? If you troglodytes insist on doing this, there are going to be rules. Or should I call Sheriff Keller to be referee?" Veronica shoved passed Reggie and Archie.

"Where?" I asked.

"The bridge between the North and South." Sweet Pea answered.

"Fine." The boys agreed and walked out on to the soaked street and got on their bikes or into their cars.

"Troglodytes?" I stood in the doorway.

"Yeah." Veronica seemed a bit frightened by me.

"Don't worry, I'm from Colorado, I'm not gonna start anything with you." I stepped into the house.
