Trust

I looked around to see if anyone was around. "Don't freak out guys." I took the clip out of my hair, as my hair dropped it changed back to its normal brown color and my clothes changed back to my Serpent jacket.

"Holy shit." Fangs stepped back.

"Oh my god." Toni stared.

"How in the hell did you do that? A spell?" Sweet Pea asked.

"You knew she was a... what are you?" Toni looked confused.

"A white witch, I enchanted the hair clip to make myself appear different. I needed to get you guys out of there." I walked to my car and opened the door.

"You're a witch, that's so cool." Fangs spoke.

"And really creepy, how can we trust you now?" Toni asked.

"I'm still Erika, I just don't usually tell people about my powers. Sweet Pea wouldn't have known but I was drunk and messed up." I explained.

"Wait you wouldn't have told me?" Sweet Pea asked.

"No, but let me explain..."

"You would have let me stay in the dark, you would have lied to me?" Sweet Pea questioned.

"Yes, but you have to understand, the less you know, the safer you are."

"But lying to me, to us!"

"What is your problem? Why are you so mad?"

"Because if you could lie about that, you could be lying about so much more. I could be under some spell of yours."

"Sweet Pea, let's just go before they arrest us again for loitering." Toni started walking away with Fangs.

"Pea, please." I felt a tear run down my cheek.

He just shook his head and followed Toni and Fangs.

I got into my car and started hyperventilating. I placed 3 fingers on my forehead and took a deep breath. "Calm down Erika." I took my jacket off and threw it into the backseat.

Timeskip

I sat in a booth at Pop's and picked at the salad I was eating.

A boy went to walk passed me but stopped for a moment. After a moment I realized that it was Reggie.

"What are you looking at? You've never seen a girl after being dumped?" I ate a cherry tomato.

"Who in their right mind would dump you?" He sat down across from me.

"Sweet Pea the Stupid Serpent brat." I rolled my eyes.

"I usually don't really care what happens to girls who play with snakes but you seem very familiar." He leaned towards me.

"Ok, and I saw you at Archie's house. You're the Reggie kid that shoved Pea."

"My name is Reggie Mantle, sweetheart."

"Mantle? No shit. How have you been?"

"You know me?" He leaned back.

"Yeah, we hung out for like a day when you were like 8? I was 10. My name is Erika Malia." I smiled.

"Well shit, you got hot."

"Reginald? What's taking so long?" His dad walked through the door.
