Vic's POV
"Jo!" I cried. She glanced up and gave a tentative smile. I ran up to her and threw my arms around her. Jo sighed and I realized she was crying into my shoulder. I rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. "Jo, baby, what happened? Are you okay?" I asked. Her hands were covered in blood and her leg had a huge gash on it, hastily stitched up with...floss? She nodded and I hugged her again. "God, Jo please don't leave me again. What can I do to make you stay?" She paused and mumbled into my shoulder.
"Make me a nutella sandwich?" She asked. I pulled away from her, chuckling.
"We don't have any nutella." She sighed dramatically and threw her arms in the air.
"God damn it Vic! No nutella!? I'm out!" She crossed her arms over her chest and pouted. I sighed and looked back down to examine her cut.
"Geeze Jo, what did you do?"
"A guy knifed me. I tried to stitch it up." She said as if she was telling me what she had for breakfast.
"Yeah, key word: tried." I said. "Come on, I'll take you to the hospital." I said. She went pale and shook her head.
"No...no thanks, that's okay." She said nervously. I sighed again.
"Hun, did you even disinfect it? You used floss for god's sake! Why are you so against hospitals?" She looked up at me sadly.
"My mom died at a hospital, Vic. People die at hospitals. Nothing good happens at hospitals." I leaned on the wall opposite her as she fiddled with her hands in her lap.
"Jo, I don't think that's true. I found out I had a daughter at a hospital didn't I?" She shut her eyes and sighed. I scooped her up bridal-style since she obviously couldn't walk and carried her out of the bathroom.
"Jo!" Everyone screamed. They all ran up to us and attacked her with questions.
"Hey guys." She said sleepily. "Collin? What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I told you I'd get to your house one way or another didn't I?" He asked chuckling. I shot him a death glare and he shut up. "Sorry..." He said.
"I'm taking her to the hospital." I announced. The guys nodded and Mike followed me to the door. He helped me get Jo in the car. We pulled out of the parking lot and started driving to the hospital.
"Can we stop at Dunkin' Donuts? I'm actually starving." Jo said from the backseat.
"Um...Jo, it's like two in the morning. They're all closed." She threw her head back groaning.
"Ugh! Hashtag white girl problems!"
"You're Mexican?" I said.
"Oh, joy..."
"Hey!"
"Kidding!" I nudged her and she punched my shoulder.
"Jo?"
"Hmm?"
"What happened in San Francisco?"
"Uh...I was stranded for a while...But on the bright side, I shot Danny!" She said happily.
"Yeah, I know. But Jo, why did you leave?" She sighed.
"'Cause I was mad. I was coming back, I just needed to get out for a while. But then you were gone." It broke my heart to know that she went back and we had already left. I fought Mike on staying but he dragged me home.
"I'm sorry. We should have stayed..."
"Eh, I probably wouldn't have gotten stabbed if you did, but Jenny would also be dead." I gave a questioning look.
