Poseidon. The god that wasn't supposed to have any children. Had one and got in trouble but oh no, HE HAD A SECOND ONE! It was weird being claimed. I thought there was a spider or something, but oh no, it was worse. There was a glowy fork thing above my head so apparently, that's my dad saying "Oh shit there's another kid. Welp, guess I better claim her."
Everyone stared at me in disbelief for a while before Percy stepped up, grabbed my arm and pulled me to his cabin. I was having a panic attack and Percy was trying to calm me down.
"It's not that big of a deal. We all knew you were coming. That's why people were like 'it's her oh my gods!'"
"Clarisse hates me and I almost drowned her because of a stupid capture the flag game! That is so low I might as well go crawl under the bed until I die." I flopped down onto a bed and buried my head in the pillow.
"No this is so great! I have a sibling that's gonna stay at camp! And there are so many cool powers we have and everyone in the group thinks your great. Especially Leo, if you know what I mean." I didn't respond to that so he came over and sat on my bed. He pulled me up and hugged me. (I absolutely hate physical contact by the way but I let this one time slide.) "I know this is weird. You'll get used to it. No one knew I existed when I first came to camp and look at me now. I'm super cool."
"You keep telling yourself that," I muttered, while my face was buried in his shirt.
"Though I do have a concern. We're siblings and I'm 6'1 and you're what, 4'11?"
I punched him and laughed. "I am almost 5'3 you weenie."
"Hm. Never been called that one before." He laughed and I pulled away from him.
"Thank you," I whispered to him.
"Anytime. We're siblings now, we take care of each other. Whether we like it or not. Now come on, let's go get food. This boy is hungry."
We walked out to the dining pavilion together and sat down at our respected table. Percy got a plate of food that I was not interested in and a heaping plate of blue cookies.
"Is there any specific reason on why those cookies are blue?" I asked.
"My mom makes blue food because my old stepdad said it didn't exist. You should meet her. You would like her." He said that all as he was stuffing food into his mouth.
Annabeth came and sat next to Percy. "Chew with your mouth closed, Seaweed Brain." She told him. Percy was physically incapable to close it because it was too full of food.
Eventually, everyone was sitting at the Poseidon table. I'm not sure if it was against the rules or not, but I didn't care. These people were like my family and I only knew them for like two days. Leo, eventually, came and sat down at the only open spot. The one right next to me. He sat down and trailed his finger up my arm. He was about to say something but Percy gave him a death glare. He quickly pulled his fingers away.
Annabeth started talking, "Chiron gave us a mini-quest sorta thing. He wants all of us to go find Nike and take back what she stole. Apparently, it's vital to Camp Half-Blood or something like that. You guys in."
"I'm in." I was the first to say it. I actually said it very quickly. "What?"
"Quests can be very dangerous," Percy warned.
"Good thing I can take care of myself," I told him. He rolled his eyes in response.
"When do we go?" Jason asked.
"Anytime between today and two days from now," Annabeth said. "I vote we go tomorrow."
Everyone muttered in agreement and we spent the rest of the night eating dinner or singing very obnoxiously around the campfire. It was a good night, and I was so ready to go on an un-official quest.
