"Well alrighty." I grabbed Alex's hand and Percy looked at me with a little smile. I winked at him. As we walked down to the theater, Alex looked at me.
"Where's your old boy toy?" She asked.
"Boy toy? Leo? I don't know actually." I said.
Alex looked ahead and hummed. She was acting a little weird.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Hm? Oh! Yeah. It's just... I think people think we're a thing."
"Why do you think that?" I asked,
"For one, we are holding hands and two, people are looking at our hands then smirking. They think we are."
"Is... is that a bad thing?" I asked.
"No. Of course not. But, is that what you want people to think?" She asked.
"Well. I don't know. Maybe?" I muttered. I rubbed the back of my head.
In case you haven't picked it up yet, whenever I rub the back of my head. It usually means I'm nervous.
Alex squeezed my hand. "We'll talk about us later." She looked forward and we arrived at the theater. I sat down on and Alex said on my left side and Percy sat on my right side.
"Tell us everything," Percy said.
"Uhh. Where to start. I remember everything so vividly. After I got stabbed, everything was in slow motion. Slowly, my body became limp, my blinking got slower, my breathing was going really slow. Uh, I remember seeing Will in my blurry vision. Then I remember saying your name and you coming over. All I felt was fear and pain. I-I just knew that... I knew that I was gonna, ya know, die." Alex put her hand on mine. I had been obnoxiously tapping on the log seats. I started fiddling with Alex's rings unconsciously. "It's really strange to die. I just remember seeing my vision going black and I felt like I was in a dream. I opened my eyes after I knew that I was dead and I saw a girl. She had dark skin and a green hijab. She took my hand and my vision changed. I was in the medical room place in the corner. But I saw myself, my dead body laying on the table. I saw Percy and Annabeth crying, I saw Nico comforting Will, I saw... chaos. I tried to walk up to Percy but the girl pulled me back and said I couldn't. Then the scene changed and I was spectating, again, but it was a different place. I was at my funeral. I saw my shrine. The blue silk with the golden trident on it. It was horrifying. It doesn't sound scary but, it was scary to see people at my funeral. Then I was in Boston. With the girl. Her name is Samirah or Sam. Yes, I know, the same name. I was confused on why I wasn't in the Underworld. She told me that I have a connection with Norse mythology. My mom is a Norse goddess. I'm not sure which one but... yeah. She took me to Hotel Valhalla and I met Alex and Magnus and a bunch of other people. In my room, there were a bunch of pictures of me and my friends here at camp. In fact, the first picture was of me and Percy. That made me homesick. So I asked if I could see you guys again and Magnus said yes so. Here we are. I guess." I finished with a deep breath and I looked down at Alex's hand again. I was still playing with her rings. She didn't seem to mind.
"Wow." Was all Percy could say.
"Oh yeah, and they played my death on the big screen for everyone to see so that was just dandy," I said with a forced laugh.
"Your death was on the big screen? How did they... record it?" Jason asked.
"Valkyrie vision. It's like a camera that is put on the Valkyries. The girl, Sam, is a Valkyrie. She knew Sam was a goner so she got ready to take her to Valhalla." Alex said.
"Yeah," I muttered.
I kept my gaze at Alex's hand. She has really pretty fingernails for someone who punches something like every day.
"That's horrifying. I've said this so many times but, I'm so glad you're okay. I talked with Hades to see if I could see you and he said you weren't down there. I was... worried." Percy said.
"Yep. It was pretty spooky." I said.
Everyone sat in silence for a little bit. Alex whispered to me, "We should get going soon. Magnus looks bored out of his mind and I'm hungry."
"Yeah, okay," I whispered back.
"It was great seeing you guys. But, I've got to go. I'm not even supposed to be here. I snuck out. Alex helped."
"You're leaving?" Percy asked. "We think you're dead then you come back like 'hey guys I'm dead but very much alive' then you just leave?"
"Well, I can't stay. I would. But I can't. We have to get back to Valhalla."
"You don't! You can just stay here! You only die if you die outside of Valhalla, you'll be a normal demigod again! This is your home!" Percy started raising his voice in frustration.
I took a deep breath and looked at Alex. She rolled her eyes at Percy. I gave her an 'I know' look. "Percy. You don't understand. I need to get back. I'll try and visit again. I just can't."
"This is your home." He growled.
"No, it's not! It was my home! In case you haven't noticed, I died. I live in Valhalla now." I could tell that that had hit him hard. I don't know what came over me. He just doesn't understand.
I walked up to him and hugged him. "I'm sorry. I need to go. I'll come to visit."
He hugged me back. "Okay. I'm sorry." He whispered.
I wrapped my arms around him. "I love you," I whispered to him.
I pulled back and smiled. His sea green eyes stared into mine. "Come back soon."
"I will."
Alex had already got Valhalla's address ready to go in her phone. She pointed it down and a portal opened up.
Everyone looked at it in awe. I waved. "Bye guys. Come on Magnus." Magnus jumped in, then Alex. I looked at everyone one last time.
Everyone had wide eyes. "I'll come back again." I promised. I waved a final time and jumped in the portal.
