Katherine's P.O.V

The images kept replaying over and over in my head, confusing me even more. The dream couldn't have been, real could it? But then what else would explain the burns left on my ankle and hands? Maybe I'm losing my mind.

That's it. I'm going crazy. That could be the only logical explanation.

But no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that it was all a figment of my imagination, I knew that that was lie.

The cold, hard truth was that the dream, or whatever it was, was real. First of all, the dream itself felt too real. Like as if I was really there. But if it was real, if it genuinely happened, then what the fuck is going on?

"Hello, earth to Katherine." A voice interrupted my thoughts. I blinked up to see Kylie, Liz, and Amy sitting across from me at the lunch table. When did they get here?

"Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm listening." I cleared my throat.

Kylie gave me a skeptical look and continued speaking, "Well I was like no I already have that it in that color, and she was like-"

And that's where I spaced out.... again.

But this time my gaze landed on something else. Or someone else.

Sitting at the other end of the cafeteria was Blake. He was sitting with a few jocks and their silicone girlfriends. How the hell did he get so popular?

Oh no, but that wasn't the best part. The best part was that sitting on his lap, was non other than Kimberly Jacent.

Even from all the way over here, you could smell her cheap, vomit inducing pumpkin spice body spray. Her black hair probably smelled burnt from the way she ironed it to be pin straight, and she was wearing shorts that were so short that you can see some lower butt cleavage and she didn't yeven have to bend down. Her top was a blouse that was two sizes too small and she probably knew that and went along with it anyways. Typical slut if you ask me.

She flipped her hair as they laughed about something idiotic, no doubt. A smile grew on her porcelain doll face, and I had the sudden urge to crack it.

While I had dull blue eyes, I envied her light green ones. But I never envied her. She was pretty, yes, but she ruins it by caking herself with layers, and layers of makeup, so you can't be sure of what's real anymore. And she's a bitch. There's always that.

But as for Blake, he happily let her run her fingers through his hair with a huge grin slapped on his face.

I don't want Kimberly Jacent, my ass.

Suddenly his gaze flicked over to me and our eyes met. Crap. He caught me staring. Now he thinks I'm some kind of creepy, stalker girl.

I quickly averted my eyes down to my lap. But my curiosity won over and I looked up again. I felt my cheeks warm when I noticed he was still staring at me.

Just then Kimberly leaned in and began to whisper something in his ear. The small grin he once had turned into a smirk. However, he never broke eye contact with me. He winked at me before returning his attention back to a very desperate Kimberly.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, making Liz stop in the middle of her sentence and snap her head towards me.

"Do you have something to say?" She snapped at me.

"W-what, no." I stuttered.

"Are you sure about that because you've been real bitchy lately and it's getting fucking old?" Amy joined.

"Guys, just leave her alone." Kylie defended me.

"Leave her alone? Did you forget what you said about her the other day? "That bitch has some serious problems. She's always pretending she's depressed, and has so much shit going on in her life. Attention-whore much?" Liz quoted.
