The One With The Real Confession

To say I was shitting myself about the current situation would be a total understatement. Hanji now knew how the situation really was and she was n e v e r going to let me live this down. The endless years of teasing were about to begin. I cleared my throat a little as I sat down on the couch, ready to explain myself.

'Okay here's what happened..' I started as I chewed on my lip a little. I knew there was definetly some parts I was going leave out like the fact Levi kissed me.

'So uh. I filled out a form online one day to get a maid sent to me since I hadn't done any cleaning and I was just exhausted from college and I had a ton of work so I saw this advertisement for a website that sends you a maid to live in your house and clean ect.. I was starting to think it was a scam website to get your details but at least a week after I had filled out the forms, Levi here arrived on my door step and well he's been here cleaning and making me dinner ever since..'

I took a deep breathe after I said all of that and watched as Hanji's expression turned from her usual goofy grin to a look of confusion.

'Wait so he's not a childhood friend? He's a maid?' She asked as she looked from me to Levi.

'Uh yeah. Maid.' I said as I looked down and began fiddling with my fingers.

'Well, that is a shame! From the looks of things you two were getting very cosy.' Hanji laughed and that mischevious look had appeared in her eyes once again. Great. Thanks Hanji.

'Cosy?' Mikasa glared at me and then decided to glare at Levi too who just stared back at her like he was unphased.

'No! It's not what you think! He really just is my maid! I don't know what Hanji's talking about.'

Right about now I was starting to wish that a sink hole would form on the couch and just swallow me up. If Hanji had suspected their was something going on between me and Levi without us even making anything obvious then we were definetly in trouble. Mikasa would not let this go. She's always been so over protective of me especially when it comes to me dating. It's all thanks to her making a promise to Mom that she would take care of me always.

'Oh come on, I see the way you both look at each other. And I can sense the awkward atmosphere around you! Something definetly happened between you two!' Hanji grinned and clapped her hands together as though she just solved some big mystery.

'Okay something did happen-' I was cut off by Levi before I could even finish my sentence.

'Eren & I had a fight over the way I do laundry. I guess the detergent I use keeps making him a little itchy and he was mad about it so he yelled at me. That's it. Nothing else to it. He felt bad so he was a little awkward around me until he apologized.' Levi explained as he looked at both Mikasa and Hanji, hoping they would buy it. The fact he could lie with such a straight face and make it believeable always astounded me. I would have to find out his secret to doing it so convincingly.

Mikasa and Hanji both seemed to believe the story that Levi had spun so they would never find out about anything else. According to Mikasa, Dad was home so she was going to visit him for a bit and Hanji had a date with some scientist guy she had been hanging out with recently which meant that me and Levi would be alone again for a while.

As I finished saying goodbye and closed the door over, I turned to look at Levi who was still settled on the couch with his suitcase next to him. I let out a soft sigh as I wandered over to sit down next to him, keeping my full focus on him. We were going to talk whether he wanted to or not.

'So you're really back then?' I asked as a starter question to get the conversation flowing.

'Yep. I mean I can leave again if that's what you want.'

'No! I mean no. I want you to stay. I never even wanted you to go in the first place.'

'Then why did you let me hm? You didn't seem to want to put up much of a fight did you?' Levi practically scoffed and rolled his eyes at me. Ah there we go the sassy attitude i'd grown so accustomed to.

'I tried, Levi. Your ass was just too stubborn and refused to stay. YOU were the one who made the decision to leave.'

'I decided to leave because you and I both know we needed the space. If you think I was gonna stay couped up in this small ass appartment with you in that mood you got another thing coming, brat.' Ah yes the nickname I so clearly loved.

'Okay the important thing is you're back and we can try working on getting back to normal again yeah?'

'Well I have something to say and if I don't i'm pretty sure Petra will threaten to kick my butt again. I'm not afraid of her, I just like to humour her. She is my oldest friend after all.'

'Okay. What is it?' I asked softly feeling my hands start to get a little clammy. I was nervous. I had no idea what he was about to say. Was he leaving? Had something happened?

'I don't normally do this so listen carefully brat because i'm only gonna say this once.'

I just nodded at that and stayed silent awaiting what Levi was about to say next. I tried to hide how nervous I was but I knew I was failing. Miserably.

'I'm falling in love with you, Eren.'
