"And then the shied flew into my back. The next thing I remember was that you were holding me on the way to, um a tower of some sort. Right?" I asked Clint. He had spent the rest of the day with me. So far I had remembered Natasha, but that was it. He nodded, but opened his mouth to add something.

"Do you remember who owns the tower? Their last name maybe?" He urged. He had been trying to get me to unlock the memories by myself, and so far, the payoff hadn't been worth it.

I pondered the question at hand. Then I thought about the thing from earlier. "Banner, is that who owns it? It sounds familiar, the name I mean." I spoke. Clint gave me an eyebrow raise. I was closer. "Wait, Banner is that doctor guy isn't he? He's the -the, the Hulk!" I excitedly proclaimed.

This whole process, it was like learning a new language but I had learned it all before. It was actually quite depressing. I sighed and leaned my head against the wall. I was remembering things about Dr. Banner now. First name, Bruce. He has seen my past. He cares about me. I smiled a little bit.

"Ok, so do you remember the name of the guy with the eyepatch? You aren't very fond of him, if that helps you any." He laughed. I screwed my face up and then laughed as I tried to think of his name.

"N- Nick, something, it's coming back easier now. Oh! Nick Fury." I announced. Clint smiled and stood up. He went to the door, knocked twice, and an agent handed him two bowls. They had ice cream, strawberry ice cream just clearing brim. I beamed. He passed me one and made a "go on" movement with his hands.

"Captain, um, America. He is Steve, uh, Roberts? No Rogers. And then that tower, Stan- Stark," The memories cascaded my mind and I heaved a sigh of relief. 'I remember.' I thought to Barton. He set his ice cream down and gave me a fatherly hug and began to make his way to the door. He took his bowl with him and left the room. I heard him raising his voice in the hallway.

"Next time, we won't get so lucky. She won't get her memory back that quick. And you know it. Give the girl a break, ok?" He seethed. I rested my head in my hands. I locked my door, and changed into some clothes that Natasha had brought for me earlier.

With my new outfit, I exited the room and pushed past Fury. He made an attempt to follow me, but I just bolted down the corridor and unfurled my wings. I hugged them close to my back, so they wouldn't slow me down. The two guards and Fury were closing in on me, just as I reached the cargo deck. I smiled, and ran down to the end of the platform. I then gracefully leaned off the edge, and fell away from the ship.

The burble of air coming from the ship spun me around, but I evened myself out and glided away from the place. Storm clouds were brewing overhead, but I didn't care. I just wanted away from the stress for a little while.

The light from the sun was beginning to paint the sky a hazy green when I began to feel tired. I had lost sight of the ship, but I could faintly hear it in the distance. I lazily flew back to the giant metal torture chamber. The roaring became much louder, and the only way that I could tell that I was flying towards the ship, was the small ripple in the sky. It was hard to make out the cargo deck from the outside, but after about ten minutes of searching with only the light of the stars, I found it.

I silently folded my wings and did a summersault onto the deck. I tiptoed out of the cargo hold and into the main plaza. The rain clouds finally let loose, and it began to pour. I smiled and walked through the dark room. All of the computers were on auto-pilot at night, so the crew members could rest. I slid down the floor until I was sitting on a glass incline, facing the glass window.

I watched two raindrops race. I listened to the constant patter of rain. I realized that this was what I wanted. What I needed. What my mind had to have. A break. Time away from here. I would leave tomorrow.
