Why did we have to abandon the past?
Oh the memories still lingers,
The giggles, the scrapes and the tears.
Why did we have to leave it behind and move on?
Adulthood doesn't make sense,
No more than childhood ever did.I yearn for the days,
When all that ever stained my fingers,
Are mud and candies.
Not the blood of the present,
Forever to haunt me in my casket.Look at the boy who didn't care,
Who ran around in his underwear,
Chanting children rhymes.
And now look at the woman who cried at night,
Pondering over her lonely nights,
Wondering why someone didn't ask for her hand. What is the point of all that fun
If it goes away too soon?
I do not wish to die alone,
As much as I do not wish to live alone.
But my love,
I'm afraid childhood is long gone,
And the darkness is whispering my name. From a distance he seems far away.
But everyone pulled him in closer.
When the time comes I shall become one with the past,
Long forgotten and abandoned.
