Once Jenny had said goodbye to everyone at Andromeda's house, she apparated to her front garden, to visit the Marauders memorial. But as she stepped into her path, she saw a woman standing in front of her door.
Jenny withdrew her wand, as she approached the stranger. The woman turned around and smiled at her.
"Relax Miss Potter. I'm from the Ministry of Magic" the woman explained.
Jenny lowered her wand, but didn't relax.
"What are you doing here?" Questioned Jenny.
"My name is Sandra Bexit. I'm from the family liaison office at the Ministry" answered the stranger.
"That doesn't explain what you are doing here"
"I know. Could we go in and talk?".

Jenny was reluctant to let the stranger into her home, but she didn't want to upset the Ministry. She flicked her wand, unlocking the front door, and pushed passed the woman, into her home. Sandra followed Jenny in, shutting the door behind her.
"I've been outside for some time actually. I wanted to wait inside, but your house elf wouldn't let me in" complained Sandra.
Jenny smiled. "Well she is instructed to keep the house safe. But I doubt you could enter the house, even if Sady let you in. There is strong magic around the Manor, stopping strangers from entering" replied Jenny.
She led the way into the closest dinning room, so that Sandra didn't get to see much of her home. Praying that the meeting would be over quickly.

Jenny collapsed into a chair, and montioned to the one opposite, which Sandra sat down on awkwardly.
"You have a lovely home Miss Potter" praised Sandra.
"Thank you, Miss Bexit" replied Jenny.
"Very few people alive today have been inside the great Potter Manor. I am thankful that I am one of them..."
"What do you want Miss Bexit" Jenny interupted.
"Right... Well as I said earlier, I'm from the family liaison office" started Sandra.
"Yes, I know that. But what do you want with me?".

"As I'm sure you are aware, many lives were lost during the battle at Hogwarts, earlier this year. Several of these, were witches and wizards, who lived in Hogsmeade... My job is to place orphan witches or wizards with suitable family members" explained Sandra.
"So you are responsible for placing Harry with the Dursley's" accused Jenny.
"No. I wasn't in this job then, and my collegues say that Dumbledore made that decision by himself. We were set up after the first wizarding war, but I only joined a few years ago"
"You still haven't explained what this has to do with me"
"I'm getting to that. A young couple from Hogsmeade were killed in the battle, leaving their orphan daughter alone. She was only a few months old at the time, and has been living with her only relative, her elderly grandmother. But the old woman has decided that she cannot care for the girl. So we have been looking for new potential parents. And the Minister for Magic, recommended you".

Jenny was taken back by Sandra's words, this was not what she had expected the woman to say. When she found out who the woman worked for, she had thought they would be talking about Teddy. She hadn't realised how many orphans the war had made.
"Wait a second. Kingsley mentioned me, to you?" Quizzed Jenny.
Sandra nodded. "Yes, the Minsiter said that you would be interested in adoption. He didn't say why, but he said that he was close to you once, and you had mentioned wanting to adopt".
Jenny's head was spinning, and her heart was pounding so loud, she thought Sandra would hear it. She had considered adopting, when she realised she couldn't have children. But now that she was going to teach at Hogwarts, she had driven her thoughts of children, to one side.

"You do realise that me and my fiancè are going to live in Scotland during term time, because I'm going to be a teacher. That means that I can't look after a baby, because I will be working. And I'm not going to give up on my job, just to raise a child" admitted Jenny.
Sandra frowned. "I don't like that attitude. But you are right. You can't teach, and raise a child. Lucky for you, my office is already aware of your circumstances. Which is why we contacted Mrs Molly Weasley, who agreed to look after the child during term time".
"You went and spoke to Molly behind my back, without speaking to me first"
"I was under the impression that you would say yes. Which is why the Minister mentioned you".

Looking after a child part-time didn't seem like a good idea to Jenny, but if this was the only way she would ever have a child, then she was planned to make it work.
"I'll think about it. But I can't make this decision right now. Especially without consulting my finacè" informed Jenny.
Sandra nodded and stood up. "Understandable. Take some time to think ut through. But we do need to know as soon as possible. So that we can look for an alternative home, if you don't want her" replied Sandra.
Jenny stood up, and showed her to the door.
"Thanks for coming. And if you see Kingsley, tell him thanks".
"If I see him, I'll let him know" Sandra replied.
"Good... What's her name, the girl?"
"Sky. Her name is sky. But as her parent, you would be able to change her name, if you wished. As she is so young"
"Sky. It's a pretty name"
"Yes. Good day Miss Potter"
"See ya Miss Bexit".
