Jenny had several visitors that day, her favourite was Molly, who brought Sky with her, and placed her straight into Jenny's open arms.
Because Jenny was such an important figure in the fight against the Death Eaters, Harry had decided to lead a full investigation, into how Jenny had found the necklace.
"Harry, I honestly think you are grasping at straws here. I don't think that an investigation is needed, by the Head of the Auror department, into a simple matter like this" sighed Jenny, as she rocked a sleeping Sky, in her arms.
"Well I do. And I am in charge" replied Harry defiantly.
"I bought the necklace in Dervish and Banges, which is a perfectly normal shop. Anyone could have bought the pendant, I was just unlucky"
"Yes, but you said the necklace called out to you, and you were drawn to it. Suggesting dark magic was used".

Jenny closer her eyes, as she tried to remember how the necklace had made her feel, in the shop.
"I can't remember Harry. It's all blurry" admitted Jenny.
"We need to find out who handed the necklace in. As I suspect it was a Death Eater, who is still on the run, and wants to pay you back for all the people you killed, in the battle of Hogwarts" replied Harry.
"It all seems a bit extreme"
"This necklace seems to have been made, specifically for you, to push you over the edge, as your mental state isn't very good right now"
"I'll have you know, that my mental state is just fine. If someone had wanted to make me lose my marbles, then why didn't they give me the pendent during summer, when I was at my weakest?".

"I don't know. But I don't think that you finding the necklace, days before you get married, is a coincidence" admitted Harry.
"Well I can't give you the information that I don't have. I don't know who sold it to Mr Dervish, and I can't remember what I saw in James's cottage" replied Jenny.
"I'm going to interview the owner who sold it to you. To see if he can tell me who brought it in, later today"
"He's an old man, I doubt he can remember every person who brings something into his shop"
"Well I won't leave, until I have answers. I need to find out who made sure you got that necklace".

"I can help you with that Mister Potter. I took the necklace into Dervish and Banges, a few days before Jenny bought it".
Harry spun around and saw a stranger approaching him and Jenny. He withdrew his wand and pointed it at the man.
"Who are you?" Questioned Harry.
The man smiled at looked at Jenny. "My name is Alec Wilde, I'm the new Transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts. I work with your aunt" he said, extending out his hand.
Jenny grinned when she saw Alec. "What are you doing here?".
"Minerva told me what happened to you, and I came to see how you were doing" Alec replied.

Harry lowered his wand, but didn't shake the other mans hand.
"You said that you took the memory necklace into Dervish and Banges" he quizzed.
Alec nodded sadly. "Yes. It belonged to my mother you see. And I came accross it while I was clearing out some of my things".
"Did you know what the necklace was capable of?"
"Not fully. I knew it could help you remember things, but I didn't realise to what extent"
"Why did your mother have it?"
"She was old, and forgetful. She used the pendant, and a series of charms, to help her remember things she had forgotten".

"So you are supposed to use magic with it?" Jenny questioned.
"Well my mother always did, it helped her to control it. I didn't know what the spells were, which is why I sold it. It was no use to me" explained Alec.
Jenny turned to Harry and smiled smuggly.
"See. I told you, me getting the necklace was just bad luck. You don't need to start an investigation any more. We have all the answers right here".
Harry didn't look convinced. "Why did you decide to get rid of your mothers necklace now?".
"Well I have just moved into a new house, and I have a new job. So I thought it was time to get rid of some old junk. I didn't even know I still had it to be honest" shrugged Alec.
"I'm glad you came to see me Alec" revealed Jenny.
Alec smiled. "That's good. I felt so guilty when I found out what had happened to you, because of me, that I wanted to come an appologise. I was worried that you woulf hate me... I would have brought flowers, but apparently you can't give them to patients anymore".

"Yeah. After a guy got strangled to death, by Devil Snare in a plant pot, the Healers have been very strict about what is given to patients" Harry explained sternly.
"Well the thought is what counts" replied Jenny.
"I guess so. Well, I'd better be off, I hope you get better soon" announced Alec.
"Me too. See you in the new year" said Jenny as she waved goodbye with one hand, as she tried not to disturb Sky.
Alec waved back and left the room as quietly as he had arrived.

"Well, do you trust him? Do you think this was all one big accident?" Questioned Harry.
"I believe his story, yes" answered Jenny.
"But do you trust him?"
"I'm not sure I trust anyone to be honest"
"But what about him in particular?".
Jenny sighed, and looked at Harry.
"Well, there is something... The first time I met him, we crashed into each other in one of the corridors. Because I hadn't seen him coming. He didn't appear on the Marauders Map" revealed Jenny.
Harry's jaw dropped. "But that's impossible. The map shows everyone, even if they are invisible, or using Polyjuice Potion".
"That's not completely true. It doesn't show the Room of Requirement on it. And it doesn't show the Marauders on it. Not that that matters, as they are all dead".

Harry raised an eyebrow. "It doesn't show the Marauders? But I thought Lupin could see Sirius and Peter on it?".
"No. The boys told me that they can see each other on the map, but if it fell into the wrong hands, no one could find them on it. Which is why no one saw Peter wandering about for all those years, pretending to br a rat, until Remus was given the map, and he saw him" Jenny explained.
"Just forget about that for a second, because that doesn't explain why Alec isn't on it"
"I don't know why he isn't on it. Which is why I didn't tell anyone about it"
"Did you ask him why he doesn't appear on the map?"
"No. I didn't want to make him suspicious of me. Besides, I don't want everyone knowing about the map, it's a family secret"
"But you are being careful around him?"
"Oh yes. I always have my guard up around him, just in case"
"Good. You do that, and I will find out what I can about him, through the Ministry, then report back to you"
"Thanks Harry. I know I can always rely on you".
