Try Again ~ Bughead

Chapter Eleven

Betty POV

It's been a three days since Jughead stayed over and we had a good time it's amazing having him back in mine and Islas life and I think Isla really likes seeing him. He's been busy this week so I haven't really seen him much he came on Monday and spent a few hours with Isla then he had to go back to his apartment so he could sleep and go to work. Ethan got held in jail for the night because he was drunk when he showed up at the apartment so he was released. He quit his job as at the coffee shop the other day and I haven't seen him since. They hired a new person called Dan and he seemed nice.

It's Wednesday and Jughead was coming over to spend a couple hours with Isla. I was sat on the couch with Isla watching TV when there was a knock on the door I got up and opened the door to see Jughead stood there.

"Hey."

"Hi." I said and I gave him a peak on the lips before letting him in he walked in and sat next to Isla on the couch.

"Hi." She said to Jughead and she rested her head on his arm

"Hi Isla." He said putting his arm round her and pulling her to his side I sat on the other side of him and he put his arm around me and pulled me to his other side and we watched TV then Isla said "daddy?"

"Ye?"

"Will you go with me to the daddy daughter dance at preschool tomorrow?"

"Do you want me to take you?"

"Yes but you don't have to go. I'd understand if you didn't want to take me." She said looking down

"Hey id love to take you." He said smiling

"Really?!" She said happily and looking up at him and smiling

"Of course I will." Jughead said smiling

"Yey! Thank you daddy thank you." She said jumping up and hugging him and kissing his cheek

"It's ok." He said smiling and giving Isla a hug a few hours later I cooked us all dinner and after we ate I started cleaning the dishes then I felt strong arms wrap around my waist.

"Hey Juggie." I said giggling and turning around and kissing him softly

"Hi. Thanks for dinner by the way."

"No problem."

"I should probably get going soon."

"Can you stay tonight?"

"I can't if I do it means getting up early and walking all the way to my apartment to get changed and my badge and gun. I really want to but if I do I would want to get up early and stay in bed snuggling with you."

"Why don't you keep some of your stuff here then."

"Are you sure? It's not to fast?"

"No Jug it's fine it's only some of your stuff I could clean out a draw for you. I love you and Isla dose so why not? You don't have to if you don't want to."

"I would love too. But I still can't stay tonight I'll get some of my stuff and bring it here."

"Ok."

"Ok." He said and I kissed him softly and hugged him.

We went back into the living room and snuggled on the couch with Isla until she fell asleep and Jughead picked her up and carried her to bed. When he came back I was lightly sleeping he picked me up gently and I kept my eyes closed and he carried me to my bed. He lay me down and tucked me in he then kissed my softly on the lips.

"I love you Betts. Sweet dreams." He said then he kissed me on the head and I heard him leave
