Sequel to In Love With A Criminal.
Isla is 4 now and Jughead finally cleaned up his act and try's to get back into Betty's life but most importantly he wants to be a good farther to his daughter and be apart of Islas life.
It's a Tuesday morning and woke up naked and with Betty laying on my arm I turned my head and looked at the time 5:32am. I smiled and moved my arm out from under Betty and pulled my clothes on. Once I was dressed I took my gun off of the night stand and strapped it to my belt along with my handcuffs I pulled my beanie on and then grabbed my badge that's on a chain and put it round my neck. Then I heard a sleepy voice speak.
"Jughead Jones are you sneaking out after sex so you don't have to talk to me?" Betty said chuckling obsessed joking I smiled and sat on the bed next to her and placed my hand on her cheek.
"I don't want to go but I've got work." I said smiling.
"I know I was only joking. Are we still going out tonight?"
"Of course. I'm going to pick you up at 7:30 ok?"
"Ok."
"Ok. I'll see you later. I love you."
"I love you too." She said and I kissed her passionately before I stood up and Betty closed her eyes and went to sleep. I chuckled and kissed her head softly before leaving the room and I shut the door I looked at Islas room and opened the door slowly I looked in and saw her asleep I walked over and crouched down and kissed her head softly. I stood up and started to walk over to door then I heard a soft voice speak behind me.
"Daddy?" I turned around and walked back over to her bed and crouched down next to it.
"Hi Isla."
"Where are you going?"
"Work."
"Can you not stay here with me again. We can watch a movies or read."
"I would love to but I've got to go to work."
"I don't like it when you work. I wished you'd stay here and play all day."
"Me to Isla but I've got to go and catch the bad guys."
"Ok. You can go be police today." She said and she sat up and kissed my cheek "Bye daddy. But can you promise you play soon." She said snuggling into her blankets.
"I promise. I'm off on Saturday so maybe we can go to the park? Would you like that?"
"Yeah I love the ducky's at the park."
"Bye princess." I said kissing her head and walking out of her room and out of the apartment.
Betty POV
I was sat in the couch waiting for Jughead to pick me up. Veronica came a little while ago and took Isla for the night. Isla loves going to Veronica and Fangs place because she gets to play with Tom there the same age but Tom's a day older then Isla. I was wearing a red knee length dress then there was a knock on the door I stood up and went to answer it I opened the door and saw Jughead stood there in a black suit and tie and he had his beanie on. He smiled at me and that dam smile I swear it makes me go weak at the knees.
"You look beautiful Betts." He said and I blushed he stepped forward and kissed me softly.
"Thank you. You look very handsome."
"You ready to go?"
"Yep. Let's go." I said I pulled my coat on and grabbing my purse and shutting the door. I took Jugheads hand and we walked down to the street.
"It might not be fancy but were going to take a cab."
"I don't mind I'm just happy to be going on a date with you." He smiled at me and kissed my cheek. We got in the cab and the driver drove to the restaurant. When we got out the cab I looked at the restaurant and it was a really nice quiet experience restaurant.
"Jug you know you didn't have to take me to a really fancy restaurant you know that right?" I said as he stood next to me and he took my hand.
"I know. I wanted to." He smiled at me and we walked into the restaurant we got taken to a table and Jughead and pulled my chair out for me and I sat down and he tucked my chair in then walked round and sat across from me.
"Your such a gentleman." I said chuckling he smiled at me.
We ate fancy food and it was really nice we talked and laughed and it was a good date we ate dessert then Jughead paid. We both got up and Jughead held my hand as we both walked out.
"Do you want to go for a walk?"
"Sure." I said smiling and Jughead gave my hand a squeeze we talked and walked for a little till we crossed the road and looked out at the East river. Why we were stood there leaning in the railings Jughead turned to me.
"Betty I want to ask you something."
"Ok."
"I kind of wanted to ask you in the restaurant but I didn't want you to feel pressured and I still don't want you to feel pressure."
"Ok. What is it?" I said turning round and standing quiet close in front of him.
"Ok. Betty we were together for basically 2 years and I ruined that and I swear that was the worst mistake of my life. When you left I felt like my heart was gone after you where gone I never went near another girl I I couldn't and I still can't I don't want anyone else because I only want you. I've loved you since I saw you. Look I'm I'm trying to ask you if you'll." he stopped and took a deep breath and pulled something out of his pocket and held it in between us. I looked down and saw a beautiful ring.

"Betty I know it might be fast and I know I screwed up the first time and I know I wasn't there for Isla but I will be I promise you and I'll be there for you to because you and Isla are the only thing I want in my life forever. So Betty will you marry me?"
I didn't know what to say and I just stood there frozen.
"Jug I......." was all I could say
"You don't have to say yes. We can wait I just wanted you to know I'm here forever no matter what and I never ever plan on leaving or doing anything to screw that up." He said resting his forehead on mine.
"Yes." I said softly Jughead pulled away from me and he was smiling widely at me.
"Really?"
"Yes I want to marry you." I said smiling and I kissed him passionately as he kissed me back. He put the ring on my finger and put the box in his pocket. I looked down at it and smiled.
"I know it's not a lot but I bought it when we where were still in high school."
"Really? When did you buy it?" I said looking up at him.
"The day after you told me we were going to have a baby and we were going to be a family." He said smiling and kissing me softly.
"I love you."
"I love you too. My beautiful fiancée." I chuckled and pulled him into his embrace. "Let's go back to your apartment." He said and I chuckled and pulled away. I held his hand as we walked to go get a cab.
