Chapter Seventeen

Jughead POV

I was lay on the couch with Betty sat in between my legs with her back on my chest Isla was colouring on the dining room table. I moved my hands so they where resting on Betty's stomach and I smiled and I drew circled and swirls on her stomach. I herd Betty giggle.

"Juggie that tickles."

"I'm sure bean likes it."

"Bean?" She said chuckling

"Yeah. We don't know if it's a boy or girl and at the moment it looks like a bean. So bean."

"What do you want bean to be? A boy or girl?"

"I don't care as long as you and bean are healthy. I'm fine with either." I said kissing her cheek. Then I heard the pitter patter of tiny feet. Then Isla walked over and stood in front of us.

"Mommy Daddy look at my picture." Isla said holding up her picture of a of a house.

"It's beautiful Isla."

"Your a very good drawer Isla." I said and she put it down on the coffee table and climbed on the couch and sat in front off Betty and put her back on her stomach.

"Mommy?"

"Yeah?"

"What are you and daddy talking about?"

"The baby."

"Oh. Where is the baby?"

"In mommy's belly." I said smiling. Then she turned around and put her face near Betty's stomach so her nose was nearly touching it.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Is it a boy baby or a girl baby?"

"We don't know yet. What do you want it to be?"

"A girl. Boys smell."

"Your daddy's a boy though?"

"Yeah hey I don't smell." I said with a fake frown

"No daddy smells like daddy not stinky boy smell."

"What do daddy's smell of." I said chuckling

"I have no idea." Betty said chuckling and I kissed her cheek and we started to watch the film again.

The next day me and Betty where sat in the doctors office waiting Isla was at Veronica's. I held Betty's hand as we sat waiting. The doctor called Betty's name and we walked into the room.

"Ok Miss Cooper would you like to lay on the table and lift up your shirt." The doctor said and Betty did what she said and I sat in the chair next to her still holding her hand.

The doctor put the jell stuff in Betty's stomach then started moving around the ultrasound gun till a dot appeared on the screen.

"Ok there it is. It all looks healthy and ok. I'd estimate about 7 weeks?" The doctor said.

"Still looks like a bean to me. Just like Isla did." I said and I kissed Betty's hand.

"Would you like some pictures?" The doctor said

"Yes please."

She handed us the photos and then went threw some gently questions and some information. Then a little while later we walked out and I held her hand as we started to walk back to the apartment.

"I can't wait to meet our baby."

"Me too."

"I promise I'm going to be here this time." I said and I kissed her cheek.

Once we got to the apartment I kissed Betty softly before having to go to work.

Betty POV

After Jughead left I had to go to work as well so I walked to the coffee shop and started my shift. About an hour before my shift was over Veronica walked in.

"Oh hey V. What you doing here?"

"I'm sorry b but I've been called into work."

"Oh ok. Thanks for looking after Isla for as long as you did." I said an I walked round the counter and gave Veronica a hug and she left.

"Hi mommy." Isla said

"Hi Isla. I've still got to work so can you go sit on that table there and draw and I'll bring you a hot chocolate over." I said pointing to a empty table that was close to the counter. She nodded and walked over to the table and took her bag of and took a pice of paper out and some crayons and she started drawing. I smiled and made her a hot chocolate then I took it over and sat it next to her.

"Thank you mommy."

"Your welcome. What you drawing."

"A picture of a rainbow. It's for daddy's desk at work. It's very boring." I chuckled and kissed her cheek before getting back to work.

Just as I was about to finish someone walked i. I looked up and saw Ethan had just walked in.....

Jughead POV

I was sat at my desk typing out a report on a robbery when my phone rang I looked down and saw it was Jake calling me I picked it up.

"Hey Jake whats up?"

"Jughead. You need to come to the coffee shop me, Terry and Amy are at i send you the address you just need to get here as fast as you can."

"Why? What's wrong?"

"Islas here...."
