Chapter Sixteen

Jughead POV

I was watching Isla as she played on the climbing frame. A few minutes later she walked over to the bench I was sat on and she sat next to me and rested her head on my arm.

"You ok Isla?"

"Tired."

"Well do you want to go get some ice cream then go home?"

"Yes! Ice cream!!" She said jumping off of the bench and I held her hand as we walked to a small ice cream shop not far from the park we walked in and walked over to the counter.

"Hi! What can I get you?" The guy working the counter said.

"What do you want Isla?"

"Mint choc chips!" She said excitedly and I chuckled.

"Can I have one mint chocolate chip and a coffee ice cream cone please." I said and he nodded and he handed me the ice creams I handed Isla hers then payed the guy. We walked out and I held her hand as we walked to the apartment eating our ice creams. We both finished our ice cream which I was surprised at how fast she had eaten her ice cream. I unlocked the door and opened door and walked in and I saw Veronica walking out of mine and Betty's bedroom. Which was weird because Betty was at work.

"Uh Veronica what you doing here?"

"Betty called me."

"But shes......."

"I've got to go but I swear to god Jughead if you hurt Betty again I'll personally hunt you down and beat you." She said and she walked past me and out of the apartment. I shut the door behind her and Isla went over to her toys and started to play with them. I put my bag down and then Betty walked out of the room but only into the hall way.

"Juggie can I talk to you?"

"Yeah sure." I said and I walked towards her and followed her into the bedroom and she sat on the bed and I sat next to her.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?"

"I know we talked the other night and I swear I didn't know."

"Didn't know what Betts?" I said slightly concerned. She stood up and walked into the bathroom then she came back in and stood in front of me and she handed me something. I looked down at it. It was a pregnancy test and it had a red + on it. I smiled and looked up at her and smiled I stood up and pulled her into a passionate kiss.

"Is this real?"

"Yeah I was sick this morning after you left and it felt the same as when I had morning sickness with Isla. So I called Ronnie and she brought the tests over."

"Oh my god Betty!! This is amazing!!" I said jumping up and pulling her into a hug. "Wait I thought you where on the pill?" I said pulling away a bit and looking at her.

"I was but in the hole thing of you showing up and Ethan and everything I may have missed a couple days so."

"So are your keeping it? Because ultimately it's up to you. I'll support you no matter what. So if your not ready for a baby right now that's ok." I said smiling a little.

"Yes I want to keep it."

"Ok." I said smiling and I kissed her again. "We're having another baby." I said still smiling.

"We're having another baby." She said smiling back.

"When do we tell Isla she could be having a little brother or sister?"

"We can tell her now if you want?"

"Yeah. I'm so excited." I said smiling and I kissed her softly. Then I held Betty's hand and we walked out into the living room and I saw Isla sat on the couch watching TV and me and Betty went on either side of her.

"Isla we have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Well me and mommy just found out that your going to have a little brother or sister."

"You and mommy are having another baby?"

"Yeah."

"Can we take it back? And get a cat or something else?"

"No we can't take it back." I said chuckling.

"When do you and mommy get the baby?" She said looking at me.

"A few months."

"I don't want the baby to come! Take it back!" She said and she jumped off of the couch and ran into her room.

"Well that was unexpected."

Betty POV

"I'll go talk to her." I said standing up and I kissed Jughead softly before walking into Isla's room. I saw he laying on her bed.looking at the wall. I walked over and sat in the bed near her feet.

"What's wrong Isla? You've always want a little brother or sister."

"Not now the baby will make daddy leave."

"Why would he leave?"

"Because when you and daddy had a baby last time it was me. Then daddy got sick and if you and daddy have a baby then daddy will get sick and he'll go and I don't want daddy to go."

"Isla I'm not going anywhere." I heard Jughead say I looked up and saw him stood in the door way. Then he walked into the room and I stood up and so he could sit down. But instead lay in front of her so there faces where in front of one another.

"I'm not going to get sick again Isla."

"But the baby will make you sick that's what happened when I was a baby."

"Isla I won't get sick again and I'm never leaving. I promise."

"You promise?"

"I promise." Jughead said them Isla snuggled close into his chest and he wrapped his arms round her.
