Keith was running to Black. It had been four days since Lance had left for home, wherever it was, and nobody had been able to contact him.

He had been trying every two hours for the past two days to contact Lance but with no answer. Shiro told Keith to wait it out until the fourth day. Maybe he was having a lot of fun and forgot to contact the team. But Keith didn't buy it. He kept getting up in the middle of the night, pulling up the transmission comm and calling for Lance. He never got an answer and Keith was beginning to worry.

The Castle of Lions was taking longer than expected to rebuild, so it wasn't done by the time Keith couldn't sleep any longer. He paced the room of his shack, his mom watching from a far. Shiro was getting a check up on his new arm, the new altaen prosthetic working well. It was late at night and Keith hadn't eaten dinner because he was so anxious. He was really worried about Lance. It wasn't like him to just shut up and not contact them. If anything, Lance would be calling as soon he was safe, showing off his family. But Lance hasn't been himself lately Keith noted. Krolia stood up from her place on the couch, stopping Keith by grabbing his shoulders. He was stunned for a second.

"Go to Allura and see if she can find the Red Lion. If she can, go to it as soon as possible. If Lance isn't going to contact you, you need to contact him."

Keith nodded and grabbed his red jacket that was hanging by the door. He turned back to his mom as he opened up the door.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" He asked worriedly.

"I'll be fine. I used to live here, remember?" She said lightheartedly. He smiled softly at her. "Go find him, Keith."

With that, he flew to Allura.

"The Red Lion has been offline for four days" she said grimly, reaching out to find the Red Lion. Keith stood impatiently in the instructor's lounge, his arms crossed.

"Can't you still find out where he is though?" He asked.

"I don't know where he is currently but I know where he is based on the last location of the Red Lion before it shut off."

"Send those coordinates to the Black Lion. I'm going to find him, he might be in trouble." She nodded in response and transferred the coordinates to Black.

"Good luck" she whispered as Keith rushed out.

The cool desert air was gushing past his skin as he ran toward Black. The moon was full and illuminated his path as he climbed up into Black. He didn't bother to put on his paladin armour.

He set Black's navigation to the coordinates Allura had transferred and punched it, launching Black into the sky. Rain clouds soon surrounded the Lion and pelted dark rain onto it. Keith hadn't seen rain in so long, he forgot what it felt like. But he didn't have time to revel in it. He had to find Lance.

It took only seconds to get to Cuba, Lance's home. He didn't know Lance was Cuban, but he had never asked. There were so many things he hadn't asked. Black landed close enough to the front of a one story beach home that Keith could barely get wet as he ran to the front door. Black opened his mouth and Keith ran out, arriving at the front door. He looked behind him and saw the Red Lion, deactivated and covered in sand. It hadn't moved in a while. Keith caught his breath and then slowly opened the front door, noticing the scratches and broken door knob. Something was definitely wrong.

He stepped inside, the house completely dark and silent besides the soft patter of rain. Across from him and to his left on the far side of what appeared to be a living room, Lance was sitting on the couch, a book of some sort caught between his hands to which his eyes were glued.
