As Evelyn Carnahan sorted through the library's collection of books, her older sister, Lucinda Carnahan, was on her way to surprise her siblings, Evelyn and Johnathon. She hasn't seen her siblings in 6 months, only communicating with her sister by writing to her. As she walked through the doors of the library she finds the bookshelves toppling over each other like dominoes. She stood behind the entry of the library hiding but so that she could still see what was happening.
"Oops," Evelyn whispered as she looked around in shock.
"Look at this! Sons of Pharaohs! Give me frogs, flies, locusts, anything but you! Compared to you, the other plagues were a joy!" The curator, Dr Bey, yelled with anger.
"I am so very sorry it was an accident," Evy says apologetically to Dr Bey.
"When Ramses destroyed Syria, that was an accident. You are a catastrophe! Look at my library! Why do I put up with you?!" He says continuing to yell at her. Lucy steps out of the shadows and decides to speak before Evy could say anything.
"You put up with my dearest sister because she can read and write Ancient Egyptian, and well she is the only person within a thousand miles who can properly catalogue and code this library that's why!" Lucy says as Evy turns around and they both look at her in surprise.
"I put up with her because your parents were our finest patrons, that's why! Allah rests their souls." Dr Bey said while glaring at Lucy then at Evy.
"I don't care how you do it, I don't care how long it takes. Straighten up this meshiver!" The curator exclaimed as he walked away leaving them both alone.
"Lucy! What are you doing here?" Evy happily said as she gives her a hug. As they let go of the hug as they heard a loud bang from the room behind them. They both look at each other before leaving to investigate.
"Hello?" Evy quietly called out. There was no reply.
"Abdul. Mohammed... Bob." Evelyn called out while walking about and looking around her. Another loud bang was made as both Carnahan sisters turned towards where the sound was made. Without hesitation, Lucy pulled out her gun from her holster.
"A gun?! Really!" Evy quietly yelled as Lucinda nodded and rolled her eyes. When they walked towards an open sarcophagus, the corpse inside sat up suddenly. Both sisters screamed, both terrified when they heard a laugh from inside.
"Jonathan! Have you no respect for the dead?" Lucy said with anger while put her gun away.
"Of course I do, but sometimes I'd rather like to join them." He said whilst wrapping his arm around the mummy's shoulders. Lucy rolled at his idiot-of-a brother while Evy did the same.
"Well I wish you would do it sooner rather than later before you ruin my career like you did to yours. Now get out!" Evy demanded as she smacked him on the head.
"Oh my dear sweet baby sisters, I'll have you know that at this moment, my career is on a high note." Jonathan slurred as he struggled to get out of the sarcophagus.
"On a high note? Ha... I find that hard to believe." Lucy said with a grin.
"Jonathan please, I'm really not in the mood for you. I just made a bit of a mess in the library, and the Bembridge Scholars rejected my application form again. They say I don't have enough experience in the field," Evy said with sadness as she sat on the base of a statue. Both Jonathan and Lucy sat beside her giving her a hug.
"You'll always have us old mum," Jonathan said quietly as they all smiled before Jonathan jumped up and walked over to the sarcophagus.
"Besides, I have just the thing to cheer you up!" He said while looking in the sarcophagus trying to find something.
"Oh please Jonathan, not another worthless trinket, if I have to take one more piece to the curator and sell for you..." Evelyn started before trail off when Jonathan held out the item.
"Jonathan, where did you get this?" Lucy said while grabbing the item to examine it more carefully.
"On a dig down in Thebes," he said. Lucinda knew that he was lying but was too interested in what she thought was a puzzle box of some sort.
"My whole life I've never found anything, Lucy, please tell me I found something," Jonathan begged her. As she fiddled around with the box, it opened. Inside was a piece of paper.
"Jonathan," Lucy whispered as they all smiled.
"Yes," he replied with excitement.
"I think you found something," Lucinda said as she pulled the piece of paper out.

The three Carnahan siblings made there way to Dr Bey's office. They went there to show them the map only, leaving out the puzzle box.
"You see the cartouche there, its the official royal seal of Seti the first, I'm sure of it," Evy says excitingly.
"Perhaps," was all that the curator said.
"Two questions; Who the hell was Seti the first, and was he rich?" Jonathan said.
"He was the second Pharaoh of the 19th dynasty, said to be the wealthiest Pharaoh of all," Lucy said to him knowing that all he cares about is if he is rich.
"Good, that's good. I like this fellow, I like him very much." Jonathan said with excitement.
"I've already dated the map. It's almost 3,000 years old, and if you look at the hieratic just here, well, it's Hamunaptra." Evelyn said while pointing to the map that the curator had on his desk.
"Don't be ridiculous! We're scholars, not treasure hunters. Hamunaptra's a myth, told by ancient Arab's storytellers to amuse Greek and Roman tourist." Dr Bey said while giving Evy a look.
"Yes, I know all the blather about the city being protected by the curse of a mummy nonsense, but, my research leads me to believe that the city itself may have actually existed!" Evy says while they all surround the map.
"Are we talking about the Hamunaptra?" Jonathan said.
"Yes, the city of the dead, where the earliest pharaohs were said to have hidden the wealth of Egypt," Lucinda says with a smirk.
"Yes in a big underground treasure chamber. Come on, everybody knows the story. The entire necropolis was rigged to sink into the sand on the Pharaoh's command, with a turn of a switch and it would disappear into the sand dunes with the treasure with it." Jonathan explains while the curator laughs in disbelief.
"As the Americans would say, it's all fairy tales and hokum... my goodness! Look at that!" He said as he 'accidentally' lit the map of fire.
Within seconds the three rushed to the map to put out the fire. Lucinda gave him a glare.
"You've burnt it! You've burnt the part of the lost city!" Jonathan said before Lucy could say anything.
"It's for the best, I'm sure. Many men have wasted their lives in the foolish pursuit of Hamunaptra. No ones ever found it, most have never returned." Dr Bey said as Lucy looked at her siblings then took him.
