THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V
Hermione arrived at the Headmistress' office, Professor McGonnagal motioned her to take a seat. " Have you seen Mr. Malfoy?" she asked, Hermione shook her head. "I see, then I shall give your first assignment as Head Girl. Kindly pass it on to Mr. Malfoy about it as well" Professor McGonnagal informed her. Hermione furrowed her brows and tried not to sigh, she didn't want to talk to Draco.
"Your first assignment is to make schedules of patrolling for the prefects. It is your duty to monitor their actions, I allow you and Mr. Malfoy to give detentions. But please do tell Mr. Malfoy not to use it unnecessarily" the headmistress explained.
Hermione listened intently to every word the headmistress said, "You and Mr. Malfoy will have to work together, although it may sound like a one-man job. Trust me, it can be quite difficult" Professor McGonnagal said, remembering her days as Head Girl.
"I understand professor" Hermione nodded "I will do my best". "Not just you. Mr. Malfoy as well" Professor added, Hermione shrugged. She thinks he's way too chill with most things, he'd just let her do the responsibilities herself. She didn't need him.
"Also, you can't take your stuff out of that room. It's already been enchanted, so when the people assigned to that room are there, including their belongings. It stays there until the year ends. The only ones that can get in and out are you and Mr. Malfoy" Professor McGonnagal revealed. Hermione's eyes grew big, surprised that's for sure.
"But...do we really have to?" Hermione complained, nicely.
"Is something wrong with that?" Professor asked sternly, Hermione shook her head and left instead. She felt too tired for another argument, especially with a teacher.
"Now where could that...what's his name again...?" she bonked her head, I'm becoming more and more forgetful...How strange. "Ah! Right, Malfoy." she remembered "I'll just talk to him by lunch," Hermione told herself and set off to her morning class.
LUNCH TIME...
"What do you mean you can't leave??!" Ginny exclaimed, she couldn't believe her best friend had to stay in the same room as Draco Malfoy. "Unfortunately, the room had been enchanted. I'd like to try undoing it, but I'm afraid it won't work" Hermione groaned in disappointment "I'm starting to get worried".
"I wonder what your boyfriend would say about this..." Ginny fretted. "I'm quite worried, but I think...It'll be alright.". "You think so?" Hermione sounded hopeful.
"Yeah. I heard Astoria Greengrass has a thing for him by the way." Ginny imparted "So Malfoy won't be hitting on. At least I think he won't". "Huh?" Hermione raised an eyebrow at her "How did that count in this situation?".
"Oh, I thought that was the reason you're so worried about staying in the same room as he is" Ginny chuckled, "With who?" Hermione suddenly seemed clueless. "Uhm...Malfoy. Draco. Malfoy. The Head Boy" Ginny repeated, "Oh. Yeah" Hermione laughed nervously.
"Are you alright?" Ginny asked, noticing Hermione had been really forgetful when it came to Draco. "Yes. Anyway, I should really go tell...What's his name again..." Hermione trailed off. Ginny looked at her, wondering what's wrong with her.
"Malfoy" Ginny reminded, "Ah! Yes, him. I have to go tell him about our first assignment." Hermione said remembering what she had to do, "Tell who?" Ron suddenly came into the Great Hall, looking much better than he did in the morning.
"Malfoy" Ginny replied for Hermione, "How are you feeling?" Hermione asked concerned. Ron sighed and bit his lip, "S-Sorry for earlier..." he was downcast. Hermione couldn't help but smile, "I'm sorry too. I know I've been too hard on you. Believe me, I really am worried about you" she held his cheek.
