Chapter Thirty one

I wanted to wake up,my eyes were peaked open and I could hear faint talking

"How many deaths?"

"Nine on our side and ten on theirs"

"Who the hell ordered the warriors to fight."

"Was it Clifford?"

"No I was with him the whole time.It was planned as a scare not a hazing"

He was right,but where was Hazel.I tried to move but my body was to tired and I fell to sleep.

Hazel Griffith

I remember mispronouncing words and then you here someone else say it and you just feel shocked.At first i you consider they are the ones that are wrong but as the time passes,the letters do make that sound and the vowels do add up and you are left looking like the one in the wrong.I was sitting down with my head in the wrong,and my mind was at simmer.

"Evangeline,There is an Alpha out there,he's leading this kingdom into darkness.I know you trial mate was affected by his tests.He took my mate and something very special to me,gave me this scar and he's scared your mate."He said.He knew about Clifford.

"You need to return home now"

"What? No theories on who it could be.Cedric?"

"Cedric is in mourning.He'e always been in

Mourning,and he is no longer in reign.Dylan is in reign however,and he is an alpha that also lost his mate."

"Could he be manipulated?"

"Yes,but his beta is keeping him close which is good,less opportunity to be drawn off course"He said.

"But it's still a possiblity?"

"If you are suggesting what your suggesting you have to be careful."He said.

"You tell one person"

"You tell a thousand"I said.

"Why would Dylan take Clifford for testing if he was his best friend."

"There is darkness in all of us and certain people bring can that out."

"This isn't right.Dylan wouldn't do that to Clifford"I said.I closed my eyes and flashed through every current alpha

"Add it up Eva."He said.

None of them fit.No motives their are always pieces missing.We have the borders of the puzzle we just need the center

"Why would someone want to take a pureblood and harness their abilities?"he asked me.And I saw it.

He knew who it was

He knew exactly who it was that was and he wanted me to figure it out.I wasn't sure what to do,tell him to tell me or maybe just figure it out.I stared at him

"Focus,Eva"

"It's Hazel"I yelled.

"Eva is not my name.You killed Eva long ago"

"Stop being so dramatic,Eva."

"You know my name is Hazel and yet you call me Eva"

"No you're name of Eva."

"Why is thi-"

"Who is it"He said.I shook my head

"I don't know"I said.He walked over to me

"Use your head.They need to be healed or heal someone else.They know their way around a pack."He was face to face with me.He was still taller than me.

"I don't know?!"I yelled

"WHO!"

"I DON'T KNOW"I screamed.

And just like that

I found the center

Regaining consciousness was like trying to stand in a spinning room with oil slick for a floor.I felt someone in my presence

'Heal'My wolf urged my for the hundredth time

'I will in time'

'You're an alpha you can heal whenever you want to'

'We aren't made to be invincible'

'Of course we are.Invincibility lies within ones self reassurance.We are made to protect.How are you suppose to protect with a comatose body.I know you don't like having all the Alpha 'benefits' but do it for the pack'

"Where's Hazel"A voice said.

"On important business"Another voice said.It was Wilson.His voice was distant

"Where?"The voice sounded more confused

"She said not to tell anyone,especially with Clifford in the room"

"He's unconscious.Just tell me."I recognized the voice it's on the tip of my tongue

"She left to Daniel's region"

Move please.I am begging you I need to go to Hazel I need to be there for her

"What?"The voice said.

"She's gone"

And before I knew it I recognized the voice

It was Fredrick and I awoke.

Hazel Griffith.

"No."Was all I said.I stared at the ground

"Yes,Eva"

"Who took away my wife.Who took away someone very special to me."

"You're lying"

"Look at the facts,Eva."

"I could kill you right now"

"Go ahead.Kill me but i'm not the enemy."

"I never was."he added.I lunged for him.My forearm pressed again this neck

"Your the enemy.Always have,always will be"

"Your enemy stole you from me.He isn't a father,he's a tyrant."Daniel spat.I could feel the tears wanted to stab through my eyes.

"And his name is Fredrick"
