Dear Diary.

It's my last year of high school in this god forsaken town, and I can not wait for it to be over. After a summer locked in my room in the company of only the occasional visit from Betty Finn I have gotten used to the peace and quiet. Even if the quiet can be suffocating at times...

I hear that the Heathers are stronger than ever and ready to destroy anything that comes in their way. I'm not looking forward to this year seeing as already last year they'd already started multiple roomers about my sexuality and so forth, which wasn't pleasant. So this year I can imagine will only be worse.

Anyway, I have to bolt if I'm going to make it to school on time, and being late would be the opposite of a very way to stat the year.

Sincerely, Y/n

I close my diary and set it on my desk grabbing my backpack slinging it over my shoulder with a heaving sigh. I quickly jog to the bus stop and get onto a bus full of stinky skanky greasy fucks. Ram leaned over his seat and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear,

"So, Y/n, you're a fag, you wanna show me some girl on girl stuff some time?"

I swat his hand away and glare at him.

"Firstly no one is a "fag". That means fire wood, or a cigarette and I am human. Secondly, gay or straight you won't be present."

Ram chuckles,

"You've got spunk kid, but with a few beers I swear to god I'm going to get you to see it my way."

I slouch over and groan burying my head in my hands trying to avoid his annoying presence, I'm incredibly lucky to have such a short bus ride because Ram continued making crude comments about my body my sexuality and just about anything he could.

We pull up to the school and I quickly get up to leave the bus as quickly as possible.

"You better watch your back this year L/n... because I'm going to be there every second of the day." Ram calls after me as I speed away.

I start scratching at my arm nervously trying to block Ram out seeing as he was only making things much worse.

My skin started becoming raw with each scratch up and down my arm, and yet I couldn't bring myself to stop scratching. I look down as I walk through the halls trying to avoid all the cruel words waiting for me, the words that are beating up against the judgmental teenage mouths all around me.

I bump into a strong figure and fall my hand falling from my arm to catch myself. My tail bone shifted slightly and I let out a small yelp as the pain ran up my spine.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry, terrible etiquette... Are you alright there darling?"

I look and my eyes meet the beautiful deep brown eyes of a boy I'd never encountered before. His long dark hair fell in front of his piercing eyes and he had a slight smirk despite the genuine crease of concern between his eyebrows.

"Uh-um yeah I um- I'm fine, h-how about you?" I stammer mentally face palming as I just blew my first impression with the new kid, especially one this cute.

He chuckles slightly and holds out his hand to help me up.

"Believe me, I'm fine."

He pulls me up with a bit too much force and I stumble into him.

"Uh sorry..." I say staggering back brushing my skirt off.

Now standing I can take him in fully. He has a long black trench coat that covers his muscular well built body. He looks like the kind of person that might be shady in the night, but the kind of the person that you couldn't avoid despite this.

"The names, Jason Dean, Darling, but I prefer to go by JD." He holds his big hand out for me to shake, and I take it cautiously taking his hand shaking it noticing the difference in size.

"Well my name's Y/n L/n.. and I go by Y/n," I say giggling slightly at my own bad slightly funny joke.

He cracks a smile at looks at me in a slightly strange way, a way I'd never been looked at before. Was it... affection? Loathing? I can't tell ...

"Well, Y/n... what's your first class?"

"English"

"Perfect. I'll walk you there... maybe after that I can get your number." He says, a slightly cheekier smirk resting on his face.

"Maybe if you're kind enough to a poor girl, you will." I say smiling slightly biting my lip to hold back the full smile.

"Consider it done, Ms. L/n."

"I told you! Call me, Y/n!" I say giggling

He chuckles and puts an arm around pulling me slightly ahead because of his strides being bigger.

"Sorry, Y/n, just a habit to respect my elders."

I gasp and shove his arm off of me,

"How dare you! I'm very youthful!" I say before bursting out in giggles.

He shakes his head and smiles before leading me to English class. He keeps checking his map and I offer to help but he claims he can do it on his own. I leave him be, mostly because I was confused on how quickly I had become comfortable with this boy...

I could tell if it was going to be good or bad.

And dear diary...

It wasn't fantastic.

Sincerely, Y/n.
