The Stolen Stone

Chapter 3

We were going for searching Marie, but then we bumped into someone...

"Watch where you are going." The girl said raising an eyebrow.

"The same could be said to you miss whoever." Bess said in her defence.

"Miss Ashlene." She said and left. While she was going she hit bess's left arm purposely and winked at us.

"How dare.." Bess was going to say something but I interrupted her. Because if Bess is angry with someone, she is not gonna leave that person.

"Calm down Bess. Take deep breaths." I said her.

"That girl is so rude and arrogant. I hate her." She said giving a death glare at her.

"Leave her. We have to find the clue. Let's go." I said by Changing the topic.

But then we saw her going toward Aaron. And not only that, she hugged him.

"How does she know him?" Bess asked.

"Of course he is the manager and everyone will know him." I replied.

"Yeah.. whatever."

Then we went back to our work. We followed her but couldn't find any thing unusual.

"Nancy are you sure that she can do something like that." Bess asked.

"I don't know. But she acts so weird sometimes. So maybe.. "

I couldn't complete my sentence because I saw Marie coming out of the washroom and she was tensed. And then we both followed her but then we were stopped by Aaron.

"Hey Nancy, Bess come here. I want to introduce you people to someone." He said

By then Marie had already gone out of the hotel.
And we missed her again. Damn. I was searching for her but then I was shocked after hearing the name.. Ashlene.

"Meet my little sis Ashlene."

"What? Your sister ?" Bess asked with a shock.

"Yeah. Have you met before?" He asked with confusion.

"Yeah. Just a while ago." I said looking at Ashlene.

"Wow that's good. By the way, I have a very important thing to say you guys. Tomorow it's Ashlene birthday and we are throwing a very big party. And you all are invited." Aaron said with excitement.

"Oh that's nice. Yeah sure we will be there." George said with a smile.

"You know what bro, I am really very happy to be friends with them." Ash said looking at george with a smile and then turned to us and gave a wicked smile.And I could see how angry Bess was.

"Can you guys join us for lunch?" Aaron asked.

"Yeah sure." George replied.

And then by 2:00 pm were having our lunch and we talked a lot. And then there was a call in Ashlene's phone. She became serious and went to attend the call. I could see her expressions change. What could it be?

To know more I excused them and told them that I was done. Then I went towards where Ash was standing and tried to hear what she was talking at the phone.

Ash : hello
Caller : ....
Ash : yeah ok.
Caller : ...
Ash : Don't worry. I will do it.
Caller : ...
Ash : take care of  yourself . Bye.
Caller : ...

And then she cut the phone and came where everyone was sitting. After sometime, even I came to the table where we were having lunch.

After our lunch we had desserts & then went back to our rooms. I laid on my bed as my head was aching due to the case.
