The Stolen Stone

Chapter 17

"What is it?" We asked at the same time.

"You guys won't believe this." Ned said. "The fingerprints are of ..." he stopped looking at our faces.

"Come on! Don't increase the suspense!" Bess shouted.

"Well, they're of Aaron's mother."he finally replied.

"What?!" We were truly shocked. "But how? Isn't she paralysed?"

"That means Aaron and his mother are the culprits behind the murder as well the theft. We never thought that both the cases could be related. They are so clever. The way they made the plan of the theft as well as murder is just unexplainable. We never related both these cases." George said.

"I still can't believe. If they could get a chance in movies, then they could become famous." Bess replied sarcastically.

"We can't undo what happened with Mary so now our goal is to find the stone." I explained looking at them.

So now we came to know who stole the stone, but we still don't know the reason of the murder.

"We need a plan, a successful plan. Do any of you have one?"

We were thinking for almost 2 hours. Actually more than 2 hours, but still couldn't come up with a good plan.

We got some plans but they were not up to mark. One of the great plans given by Miss. Bess Marvin is that, we should kidnap Aaron. 'Really couldn't they get anything better?' I thought to myself.

And then all of a sudden George jumped off from the chair and clicked with her thumb and the middle finger, by which we know that she has an idea.

You know what, I can't do that thing which George did now. The clicking with her finger thing. It's just too difficult for me. But I think I can do it. I was trying to do it, when I saw 3 pairs of eyes at me.

"Seriously nan! Do you need to learn that now?" Bess asked and all started laughing which made my cheeks turn red and I felt silly of myself. But at least I made them laugh for some time and I was happy for that.

"Sorry." I said while keeping my hair behind my ears and blushing a little, I don't know for what.

"So my plan is, that I will go to Aaron's house and search for the stone as Ashlene said that the stone might be still with them." Before George could finish telling us her plan, be three shouted in tension and concern.

"What?" We asked together.

"You will go to Aaron's house? For what? No, we won't allow that to happen. Nope.. nope."

George tried to say but we were not ready to listen her.

"Guys at least listen to me once." George almost cried.

"Ok but only once." We said.

"I will be going with Aaron to his house and try to find out the real stone and the reason behind killing Marie." She said and stopped for taking a deep breath and continued again.

"And the after finding out all the things I will come back. Is it okay? " she asked.

"It's a good plan but how can you go alone? I think one of us should go with you." We said.

"No. I can't take anyone because he might have a doubt on us. So it's better that I go. And by the way they don't know that we know their truth." George said.

"But first you have to call Aaron and say him that you wanna go with him to his house." Ned said.

"Is it necessary?" George asked and we stook our head with a big yes. We could see her gulp.
