We went out to check. And saw... Marie - the maid lying unconscious on the floor with broken glass shattered near her body.

Slowly the place was getting crowded. We went closer her body to see what was the situation. I checked her pulse and was astonished to discover that she was dead.

"What happened?" Ned asked concerned.

"She is dead." I replied still in a state of shock.

"What?" Bess asked.

Then we saw George and Aaron coming towards us.

"What's all this?" We could hear Aaron asking unbelievable.

"She is no more." I replied.

"But how? How did this happen? Did any one see this happening ?" Aaron asked confuses and tensed.

"We don't know. We just heard a sound of something breaking and then we saw this." Bess replied.

"Oh No! The stone case is already complicated and now this." George said and remembered that only they knew about the fake stone and quickly corrected herself saying, " I mean the stone case just got over so.." and then saw the sighing in relief.

"I have called the police. They are on their way." Aaron said.

After some time, we saw John with him team entering the hotel.

"Please every one clear the crime scene." John said and everyone stepped five steps behind but still stood there to see the drama.

They started doing the investigation.

"The murderer must be a very clever person because he/she didn't leave any clues." John said.

"There are no blood stain or finger prints. It's a clean murder. We are sending the body for post mortem."

"If you get any information related to the case, please inform us right away. We would be happy to help you." I said to him.

"Yeah sure." John replied and then left.

We went to our room. Ned and Aaron were also with us.

"I don't know why, but there is no time for us to breathe in peace." Bess barked with frustration.

"Calm down Bess. Just sit for a while." I gestured her to sit on the couch.

"So... now what should we do? We are having two cases at present." George said with a sad face.

"I have an idea. I mean let us continue with the stone case while John will be handling the murder case for now." I said to them and they agreed.

"Wait a minute."

"What happened Ned? "

"See.. Arlene stole the stone right.. so .."

"Who Arlene?" Bess asked confused.

"Arlene.. Aaron's sis. Don't you remember?" He asked.

"I remember. But it's not Arlene, it's Ashlene." Bess corrected and we laughed for a moment and the atmosphere became serious again.

"Oh.. sorry. So I was saying that, Ashlene stole the stone right. Did she know that she was stealing a fake stone?" Ned said which made us stop and think about his point.

"That's something to think about, Ned." I said.

"So did Ashlene know about that ? Or did she steal it thinking it was real? Maybe someone else stole the real one and replaced it. Was it her ? Oh god! This is all so confusing." George said with a frown.
