We sit in my living room together his arms wrapped around me. There's pretty much no sound except for the TV playing softly in the background.

"You want to turn it off?" I ask.

"Naw, keep it on." he responds.

"But we aren't even watching it."

"Still it's nice background music."

"Yeah, a news story about athletes foot is great background music." We both then start to giggle. He then leans down and gives me a quick kiss on the check. I smile and blush a little bit. I don't know why we broke up before. I like to tell myself that we were stupid and not ready for love but we are now. But sometimes I blame it on my best friend.

"Are you sure we shouldn't tell her?" I ask.

"Positive." he says back.

"But I want to go on a real date for once."

"This is a real date." I look up at him with stern eyes.

"This is not a real date."

"Its romantic right?"

"Yes."

"Then it's a date." He then gives me one of his smirks. I playfully punch him in the arm.

"You know that's not what I mean. I want to be able to go out in public. I hate having to pretend I don't want to kiss you when she's around."

"I hate it too."

" So can we finally just tell her?" He then bits his lower lip.

"How about when we know it's for real."

"It's been 8 weeks! Which is like 2 months! Is that not real enough." I stare up into his brown eyes hoping I can find an answer, but I don't.

"Let's just wait a little while longer ok?" He makes his eyes all wide and pouts out his lips. I try to resist saying yes, but there's just something about that face.

"Just a little while longer." I say.

"Great!" he then leans in and gives me a kiss. "I love you." he says.

"I love you too."
