Tish!

I managed to flip Daria today! We had a tournament. I wasn't allowed to participate; you have to be back for that, but Mom let me show off what I've been learning. So maybe Daria let me flip her, but I'm taking the win.

I got you a Christmas present so now you have to be here at Christmas time. Aidan says there's a present from you under the tree; you must have been very sneaky to get it there. Aidan wrapped it so nicely, with a bow made out of extra wrapping paper. He's very crafty. We made a trebuchet in class. Katie knocked over a glass of water that spilled everywhere, so we had to take it outside. I'm glad it's not the Renaissance now. We would be hunted down for being demons or something and then burned at the stake. It sounds like a very painful way to die.

Then again, we're still being hunted. I wish that I could explain to the hunters that we don't want to hurt anyone. I wish they could see how much we care about each other, how much being a werewolf doesn't affect any more of our lives than it has to. Sure, I can shift and hear like, a bird land on a branch now, but I'm still a kid. I'm still in school. I'm normal.

Mom says that a lot of hunters had terrible things happen to their friends and family like you did. Is that true? Are they just hunting out of revenge or do they think we're evil? I don't feel evil.

I hope that things are going well there. I'm glad Conor is putting weight back on and that you don't have to wear those glasses anymore. I can't imagine you with glasses.

And no, I've never heard Conor sing. I don't know if he knows any songs. If you want to take him to karaoke, I'm sure he would find it fun, but I don't think he'd join in. Dad tried to get him to listen to a couple different genres last year, but Conor seemed bewildered. It all sounds the same to him. Oh, if you go out again with Conor, he will eat whatever, but Mom says he's not good about ordering enough because he's self-conscious. Mom and Dad would order appetizers and extra sides, so it didn't seem weird.

None of this would be a problem if everyone would just let him be himself. He shouldn't have to pretend to be human all the time. We shouldn't have to pretend to be human. I just want everyone to come home and be safe, and we can be a whole pack again. Aidan will be happy again. Mom will be calmer. Things will be better.

I just have to wait for Christmas.

Love,

Susie Lynn
