Location: The Clark House
Day: May 20th, 2042
Time: 7:00 am

May 20th was supposed to be a normal day. Sadly, that was all a lie.

Two Cyberlife employees, named Fawn and Don, and their daughters, Faye, Deyanna, Simone and Skylar (three Caucasians and three African Americans) were murdered that day in 2042. They were the only ones in their home, well the only humans that is.

An Android with purple hair and green eyes lived with them and when she saw that man? She screamed, watched and cried as the man murdered them. The Android's LED light went from blue to yellow to red and back to blue.

Strangely, the man did not touch her, he simply left her alone, though threateningly put his knife near her scar that she got from- well she never knew where she got it from. Her past life was always foggy to her.

After he left, the police came, and the Android hid. She heard them speak about the family, the house and how rich they were. They spoke about her, possibly being responsible for the deaths and not being seen, possibly on the run. The Android couldn't believe what she was hearing. Three years after the Android Revolution, and some people were still hating Androids.

Once a bigot, always a bigot. The Android thought cynically. Then, the police left. Looking to a clock sitting near a bedside table in the android's room, it was currently 11:34 pm. She got up hesitantly, still not entirely sure if the police left. She spotted a black cat with green eyes, the family pet, who the humans named Phenix.
"Are they gone, Phenix?" The Android whispered and Phenix meowed in response, as though he understood what she was saying. She gave him a curt nod and picked him up into her arms.

She thought about the events that unfolded. It triggered feelings of revenge and sadness, but also reminded her what people would think. Most thought she was an AX400, a model designed to do house work and take care of kids, like that Android from the Revolution, Kara. But no, the Android was not that. The humans just led other humans to believe that. To not arouse suspicion during the days before the Android Revolution. Really, she didn't know what model she was, but that didn't matter. There was only one thing she was to the humans that lived in this big house. A family member. A sister. A daughter. She was family to them. Never a domestic servant, never a useless piece of plastic. Only one thing: family.

One minute she was thinking about the humans, then suddenly, it was an hour later (12:34 am) and the Android heard noises downstairs. Her LED changed to yellow and she began to sneak around to find the master bedroom that had a gun in one of the drawers. She let out a sigh of relief. Now, she was armed. She crept downstairs and saw three figures in the front hall as she was in the living room. They seemed to be talking about something. From what the Android could see, they were Androids like herself. Two of them were Caucasians, one female on the left and a male on the right. An Android with dark skin was in between them.
"Who are you?" The Android's voice boomed, as she held up the gun for defense.
"Oh. I'm sorry, we didn't know anyone was here. We assumed this place was abandoned." The male Android in the middle apologized. She squinted her eyes at them as her LED light became blue.
"You're Markus, Kara and Conner. The androids that helped our people get their freedom." The Android with purple hair stated matter-o-factly lowering her gun.
"Yes that's right." Kara, the girl on the left who had short sliver hair replied with a small smile.
"What happened here?" Conner questioned the purple-haired Android, as her LED light became yellow.
"My- These humans were killed by a man. I lived with them. Police claim it's all my fault, but I know what I saw. A man who wanted to... only Ra9 knows what!" She explained with a slight crack in her voice and irritation at the murderer. Sure, she missed them, but she was not going to tell that to them. Whether they fought for her people's freedom or not.
"What's your name?" Kara asked stepping forward with a kind smile. The girl hesitated.
"Violet. My name is Violet."
"Well it's nice to meet you Violet," Markus said politely, "you don't have to stay here, you know. If you want. You can come with us to Jericho." Markus suggested and Violet turned to him and her eyes seem to light up as a small smile creeped on her face, but it slowly faltered.
"I... I can't. I can't just leave them here." Violet stated as her eyes began to dart around the room nervously. Phenix'a meows were heard and he purred up against him. After a few more moments, Violet spoke again.
"They're my- my," She then sighed in annoyance, "they are my family." She stated looking at the three Androids straight in the eye.
"I'm not making sense, am I? Look, they cared about me a lot and they would probably want me to." She trailed off and looking down at their bodies, Violet's gaze landing on her mother, her red hair remained untouched and Violet heard her laugh in the distance, so close... yet so far. She then sighed again. She knew what her mother would have wanted. She knew what they would have all wanted.
"They would probably want me to," Violet restated, "move on, be happy. Be with my own kind." Violet stated with a sad smile with a tear stained face. With that, she left the home, with Markus, Conner and Kara (along with Phenix who obediently followed), to be with her one kind and find the man who made her suffer all her pain for the people she had lost.

Author's Note

Y'know, writing this. I feel weird... just weird. Who goes to a home at 12 am, and then asks someone to come with them after their family just died? They are talking so casually. Argh! Oh well, not going to change it. Also, did I make Markus, Conner and Kara OOC (Out of Character)? I always feel like I do when I write stuff like this. I don't know, I just seem to have awkward dialogue all the time! Or at least that's what I think.
Anyway, hope everyone enjoyed the prologue! I have no idea when the first chapter will be, but I do know this book might be short (really short).
Bye!
