The plan for Willow that morning was to eat breakfast and then do her homework. She only got one of those done though, as she was distracted, along with her brother, by their father and Connor playing chess. It was very memorizing.
"How long have they been playing?" Willow whispered in her brother's ear, as Carl's LED changed to yellow for a split second in order to indicate the time.
"An hour." He whispered back and Willow blinked in shock and surprise. Carl always got up before Willow every morning, it just became routine for them, but she had no idea that he had spent an hour watching them play, while Willow had just gotten there about 5 or 10 minutes ago.

Violet's footsteps were heard as she came into the hallway.
"Check mate." Markus said, indicating that he had beaten Connor at chess.
"Uh... what's going on here?" Violet asked in confusion.
"They were playing chess." Willow and Carl replied in almost perfect unison, making them give each other a look, not expecting the other to speak.
"Oh. Well anyway. Markus I have to get something. So can I take someone with me?" Violet asked politely and Markus nodded as he started to clean up the chess board.
"Oh! Can I go?" Willow asked with anticipation and sparkle in her eyes. Violet chuckled.
"Why would you want to go with me?" Violet asked beginning to sit down on a steel bench.
"Because why wouldn't I?! You're the first Android before the Revolution to actually have nice owners!! Especially Cyberlife employees!! That's HUGE!" Willow explained, as she kept jumping up and down, her eyes continuing to twinkle. Violet smiled warmly at her, amused at her excitement about Violet's past. It made sense. After all, Willow probably heard the story about the Revolution more times than she could count (not to mention her adopted parents being leaders of Jericho). Violet pondered this for a moment.
"I'll let you come with me if it's ok with your father. I'm only going to see a friend." Violet said turning to Markus, who by this time was listening intently.
"No, Willow. You are not going with Violet. It's too dangerous for you." Markus said sternly.
"But you always say that!" Willow retorted.
"My answer is still no." Markus replied firmly, as North came over.
"Mom?" Willow asked looking at her mother pleadingly.
"The answer is no. We were just trying to keep you safe."
"But-"
"What happens if both you and Carl left? Who would be here to play with Alice and protect her?" Willow hesitated, and then closed her mouth. Her mother has found her Achilles heel. She knew that Willow cared for Alice very much, as well as the other androids on the ship.
"Fine." Willow grumbled in disappointment. Markus then turned to Violet, who patiently waited.
"Kara and I will go with you." Markus explained to Violet as she nodded.
"I've got some errands to run. Be good, and don't ask your Uncles Simon and Josh about going with Violet again." North announced.
"Cross my heart." Willow promised making North smile.
"I have an idea. Why don't we go to the park?" Carl suggested, making his sister light up.
"Oh, yeah! We could do that with Alice!" Willow said excitedly. She had been locked up in Jericho for three days, it may have worked for the androids, but Willow being a human, she needed some fresh air. Markus and North glanced at each other.
"It's not that far." North whispered to Markus. He nodded.
"Ok. You can go. I'll ask Kara if you can take Alice with you." Markus replied walking off to find her.
"Also, go straight back to our house when you leave the park." North added before leaving. In the time since the Revolution, androids had freedom to work and own their own property, it wasn't much, but it was a start. North and Markus bought a house for themselves and their children, but most of their time was spent at Jericho.

A few minutes went by and Markus returned.
"She says it's alright if Alice goes with you. Luther is also going to make sure you're safe." Both of Markus' children nodded obediently, as Kara handed Alice off to them.
"Are you ready to go?" A deep voiced asked, making a huge shadow loom over Violet. She turned around slowly, and immediately jumped out of her seat.
"Oh, you haven't met! Violet, this is Luther. Luther, this is Violet." Kara explained, but Violet was distracted by the large man in front of her. She gulped.
"Ni-ni-nice to meet you." She said nervously.
"Nice to meet you too." Luther replied, smiling at her kindly.
"To answer your question, we are ready to go, Luther." Willow explained.
"Wait, not quite! Forgetting about this." Carl added, handing his sister a tablet with her school's name on it as Willow groaned.
"Well, there's that." Willow said, pointing to her tablet.
"Just looking out for you." Carl mumbled, scratching the back of his head, not thinking she heard.
"I know. I am grateful, but... can't I just enjoy nature?" Willow hugged her brother and moved closer to him, looking at him pleading eyes.
"Yeah, but it's got your schoolwork on it." Carl retorted. Willow rolled her eyes and walked off.
"Always so obedient." She muttered, walking out.
"Are you calling me a machine??" Carl asked offended and confused, as their voices faded into the hallway, where their argument would probably continue, Alice and Luther slowly following after them.
