Youth Prime: The Beginning

Chapter 6

OK before we start Chapter 6 I just want to tell you guys that in the description I put that this is a fan fiction, but my friend told me that it's actually just a regular story because I came up with the plot and everything.  Sorry about that. Anyway I wanna give a quick shout out to bahamian_goddess, itsfaithduh and everlastinginfinity. OK my wattpaders it's story time.

My eyes slowly begin to open. I blink a few times, until my vision clears. I look around, I'm in a decent sized room. There is the bed I am laying down in, a closet, a tv, a nightstand, a dresser, a desk with a chair, and a bean bag chair. On the night stand lays a key card, I grab it without a second thought. I sit up and push off the covers, I'm still in my school clothes. I try to remember just how on Earth I got here, but the memories are hazy. I decide to just ignore them for now. I put on my boots and open my door with the key card.

When I step out I find myself in a dim hallway. A voice rings though out my head it says "the Bureau." I faintly remember Tori saying that. I close my door and lock it, then slip the card into my pocket. I look up and see that the door has my name written on it in gold cursive letters Alexis Andrews, and the number 406 is right above it. I feel pretty clueless right now which just annoys me.

Then I am snapped out of my thoughts when a boy appears from out of nowhere. He is around my age maybe a bit older, has hazelnut brown hair, tan skin, and green eyes. 'Man he must have some good genes', I think to myself.

The mysterious boy leans against my door and says, "Hey there my name is Finn, nice to meet you Alex." He winks at me. I raise an eyebrow and cross my arm, my door says Alexis but he just simply said Alex. Maybe it was just a coincidence. I ask, "Where did you come from?"

He smirks and says innocently, "My mommy." I can't help but smirk back at him, that sounded like a thing I would say. He continues, " Don't worry too much about it, all of the questions you have swarming around in that head of yours will be answered soon. But we have to head for the meeting room now."

I allow him to take me there, its not as if I have other stuff to do. The two of us walk up three flights of stairs.  I ask, "Why are there no windows?" He replies not showing much care,"Nothing to see, we're underground." I nod and we walk past what seems to be a cafeteria and other random stuff. This place is huge, people must have some serious money. We finally reach the meeting room and it is almost packed, it's filled with kids anywhere from 13 to 16.

Finn takes my hand and leads me to a chair off the to left, away from the big crowd. We both take a seat, it is silent for a minutes or two, but I suddenly blurt out, "Do you live here?"

"Yeah,  my parents work here."

"Why me?"

He raises an eyebrow and throws me a sideways glance.

I answer his confused look by saying,"Why come to my door. All the kids here and you chose to escort me."

He stares at me for a moment and then says, "You interest me. Your everything they want here, strong, smart, honest."

" Thanks but I'm only human just like everyone else. A mixture of the good and bad packed into one."

We stare at each other and he is about to say something but he is interrupted by a familiar voice that calls out my name.

I turn around and see Raquel, Jasmine, Tyler, Eric and Joey running toward me. A look of excitement finds its way onto my face, as I run up to them and give them hugs. Tyler holds onto me for the longest but finally let's go.

I say, "Come on guys I'm going to introduce you to someone." They follow me right over to where Finn is sitting, and I state each of their names. The seven of us talk a little but the conversation ends when a familiar face steps onto the stage that stands tall in front of us.

Jeanine. As soon as I see her I immediately remember the test that I took in school earlier on, and within mere seconds I am no longer a happy camper to say the least. That... test if you could even call it that was just twisted. They made me watch a child die in my arms, and my friends get beat by my own hand, so excuse me if I'm not in the mood to hear whatever excuses they come up with.

Jeanine steps up to the microphone and says, "Hello, some of you may remember me, but for those who don't my name is Jeanine.  And I would like to welcome you to a place we like to call The Bureau. You see the government has decided to take a big leap to improve the education that our youth are receiving. So they decided to create a program called Youth Prime. And the focus of this program is to educate the youth both mentally and physically wise. Our goal is to create a better future for America. And you all are the initiates for this program."

Immediately a series of gasps and whats fill the air. But she quickly yells, "Pipe down." Silence fills the air, and Jeanine smiles returning back to her calm demeanor.  I raise an eyebrow, and roll my eyes.

She contines,"Anyway all of you will be eating, sleeping, training,  and living here for quite some time. But don't worry we have consent from your parents or guardians, and there will be visiting days. Now I would like to introduce you all to Mr. Richardson, the leader and founder of this program."

She begins clapping while the rest of us stay dead silent. Did she really think we were going to clap after what she just told us. Suddenly Mr. Richardson steps on stage and I recognize him, he was the guy I was looking at when Daniel and Tori first came a while back.

I hear Finn whisper to me, "I know him, he is a pretty nice guy." I glance at him for a moment but simply nod.

Mr . Richardson says," Hello there initiates,  I know that this must seem strange to all of you, but this has been done with only the best intentions in mind. Now if any of you need anything you can go to one of the workers,  or to me, and I hope you all really learn something from this program. OK that's enough chit chat you have the rest of the day to explore the place. You'll be receiving your schedules and your emergency phones at 9pm, and don't forget to carry yourkey cards with you at all times. That is all."

He walks off the stage and everyone exits the room. I ask Finn if he can give us a tour of the place, they have everything from classrooms, a shopping area, sports centers, a cafeteria and other stuff. Even bunkers in case of an emergency,  but Finn says that is highly unlikely to happen. But in my head I say it's better to be safe than screwed. P.s I hate the saying better to be safe than sorry, no one apologizes in the  time of an emergency.

After the tour everyone heads to my room and we spend our time watching Doctor Who on Netflix.  Yes they have Netflix I couldn't believe either.

It's 9pm and everyone went to their own rooms already. Someone knocks on my door, I open it and a lady hands me a simple phone and a piece of paper. I don't bother to look at either, I just lock my door and go straight to sleep.
