Youth Prime: The Beginning

Chapter 13

Ok my wonderful wattpaders. I have some news! One I'm reading the Fault In Our Stars, and I highly recommend it to every person that dares walks this blue planet that occupies the Milky Way Galaxy. After reading up to Chapter 3 I immediately decided this is my new favorite book. Okay? Okay. Second thing is I'm going back to school on Wednesday, blah blah, you guys know the whole sob story about how I won't be able to update as often. But I'll try, but don't mean to toot my own horn *happily toots not caring* but being a freshman in highschool, and having AP and honors classes doesn't help. And lastly I want to give a shout out to Annabeth Mellark. My fellow time lord/whovian/awesome follower. Oh and to giggle_darling she pretty much inspired this chapter. Anyway enough of me yapping, it's story time.

Raquel's Pov

I'm beginning to gain consciousness, my head is throbbing, and my vision is blurry. I blink my eyes multiple times, trying to clear my vision.

I hear a female voice say, "She's finally waking up." Heels clatter against the pale white floor, and they stop when they are right in front of me. I manage to lift my head, and I'm met with blue gray eyes, and long blonde hair. She stares down at me.

I glance to my left behind her, and see a man with caramel skin, medium brown eyes, and curly black hair that looks like an afro. He stands by the door, his leg bent, foot resting flat on the wall, studying me.

He tilts his head to the side as if something confuses him, and I mirror the action. He pushes himself away from the wall, and strides over to me. I stare at him for a moment waiting for something to happen, then all of a sudden he smiles.

He says, "Hello Raquel I'm Gabriel." Gabriel, jerks his head toward the woman and says, "And that's Cara."  I nod,  but inside I'm wondering how does he knows my name.

Gabriel questions, "Do you remember what happened?" My eyebrows furrow trying to remember how I got here. I vaguely remember sitting next to Ashton on the bus, a loud screech, shots, three people wearing all black, smoke hitting me right in the face, and then nothing.

I look up at him, and simply nod. He says, "Good so I guess we can cut right to the chase. Got anything you'd like to ask me?" He asks this with a grin like the Cheshire cat's.

I feel uneasy, but I begin to search my mind for which question to ask first. "Where am I exactly?"

Gabriel: "At our company's holding area in the woods, where you can your classmates were heading to."

Me: "Where is everyone else?"

He smirks as if he was dying for me to speak those words. Gabriel answers, "Well your little friend Alex, who I had a lovely chat with earlier, is with Tori's nephew; Jake."

My eyes widen when I hear that Tori has a nephew here. He continues chuckling at my surprised reaction, "I think Jake might be having some fun with Alex", I grit my teeth together to stop myself from screaming every profanity that comes across my mind.

"Ashton your little boyfriend should be having a nice time with Rose and Taylor. It's the least they could get for helping out with our little operation." I immediately want to strangle the both of them, but then I gulp suddenly wary, 'What operation is he talking about?' 

Gabriel continues, "Jasmine is facing the same situation as Alex, Joey and Eric are being questioned. Tyler didn't quite make it, suffered a head injury." He says this with a mock sympathy, and I dig my nails into the wooden chair I'm bound to, and hold my head down not trusting myself, my eyes almost begin to water.

I dig my nails in deeper, slowly titling my head up, so I have to look through the very top part of my eyes to see him, giving him the darkest glare I can muster up. Gabriel tilts his head to the side frowning at my glare, suddenly he lifts his arm up and brings it down to my face.

My cheek begins to sting, then a fistful of my hair is grabbed, my head is yanked upwards,  and Gabriel's face is mere inches from mine. He whispers, "Tsk tsk it's not nice to glare sweetheart." I scowl and try to move my face away from him but he grips my hair tighter causing my head to ache even more.

He smirks at me,"Don't worry you'll learn to be nice and obedient soon enough. Let's hope the rest of your friends learn that lesson to we have a few buyers coming soon, they'll get a chance to look around, see who they want." That very sentence nearly made my blood run cold. I hope he's not talking about what I think he's talking about, or else we're all screwed.

Gabriel and Cara who I forgot was even here, smirked. Gabriel let's go of my hair, roughly throwing my head to the side. Gabriel says, "Some friends of mine are going to come and look at you and the rest of your classmates, to chose who they want to use for a little while. You'll be something like a servant, it's just to see if you can carry out tasks...missions."

I raise an eyebrow becoming more interested in what's going here. Gabriel continues, "Because that will be just a test, the real mission will be getting you guys back to the Bureau to retrieve something this company needs, and before you ask, I can't tell you just yet."

I slide down in my chair, disappointed, but the feeling goes away when he says, "Oh and I have to go now. But before I go I should tell you what happened to your last friend Finn."

I straighten up in my chair eager to hear what he's going to say, "He's with some of the guys here, relaxing in his room. I gotta hand it to that kid, he played that act good. Buddying up with Alex, finding his way into your group, just makes this whole situation that much more hopeless. Am I right?" And with that he leaves.

I'm left there with Cara, trying to process what I just heard. This has to be a joke, there's no way. I'm snapped out of my thoughts when Cara says, "Better wake up to reality soon." I spit at her venom in my tone, "Shut your mouth."

She takes a step forward and slaps me across the face. I immediately glare at her and her fist collides with my jaw. Cara leans in close, and says mockingly, "Hope ya have fun in here. Night." And she turns and walks out leaving me all alone of the dark murky room bound to a chair encased in my thoughts, finally allowing the tears to fall.
