"What does that mean?"

"It means I'm head over heels crazy for you and I can't stand to not live another day without you.Even if it means not talking to people I'm up to the challenge I'll do anything for you hayes." I explained

"I don't want you to get hate for being with me the school loser. I'm sorry Julia I'm doing this to protect you."

"I don't care about the hate! I'll be fine if I have you hayes."

"I just.. I don't know."

"Please." I squeaked out through tears.

"I can't take not being with you Julia, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Oh no honey I'm not gonna say yes to this it needs to be over a romantic date." I laughed

"Fine go get ready and I'll get you at 6." he shooed me away so I could get ready.

I ran home, took a shower, started to do my makeup and I saw a figure in my doorway. I looked back and squealed.

"Ari! your back! I've missed you!" I screamed. ari was my older sister who was in college. I barely saw her and I missed her.

"Is someone getting ready for a date?!" she smirked.

"Yeah it's uh my first real date with hayes"

"Finally! Julia you guys have liked each other forever. you were made for each other!" she laughed.

"Let me help you with getting ready." she insisted.

She redid my makeup all nice and pretty, then went into my closet. she pulled out a simple but elegant dress. it was a high low dress. the top was black and strapless then had an elastic waist band. the skirt part was a flowy aqua blue color. she also braided my hair to the side.

"You look absolutely gorgeous Julia!" a tear snuck out of her eye.

"Thanks ari I'm so glad you could help. how long are you staying?"

"Two weeks-" she got cutoff my the doorbell.

"I got it! ah it's hayes!"

"Welcome-" he began till his eyes saw me. he dropped his jaw speechless.

"Haha lets go on that date you have been telling me about."

"You look.. beautiful: beyond beautiful! words can't explain julia." he smiled as he motioned me to come with him.

"Where are we going?"

"You will see."

We walked for a couple more minutes till I realized where we were. we were where we first met as kids; the bridge. between our houses in the woods there is a bridge going to the lake and I would always go there and I ran into hayes there and the rest is history.

"Hayes I can't believe you remembered!"

"How could I forget, it was the best day of my life." he smiled.

"I made our meal in my gourmet kitchen with my co- chef skylynn." he laughed.

"We are having a wonderful meal of macaroni and gatorade. gatorade sponsored by will" he continued talking while I was laughing.

"And lastly brownies bought from stop and shop!" he smiled as he set the blanket down to eat on.

"Hayes this is the blanket we shared when I got stuck at your house during the lightning storm. it always made me feel better." I smiled.

"Yeah it kept me alive through the year we didn't talk. if it wasn't for it id be dead." he looked at the ground. I put my hand on his leg reassuring him everything will be fine.

"Let's dig in!" I laughed.

He insisted he fed me so I took advantage of that.

"Smaller spoonfuls hayes! my mouth is smallest than yours!" I laughed. we finished the meal and took a walk to the lake.

"You really did it hayes. this is perfect."

"One last thing," he pulls a ring pop out of his pocket, unwraps it, gets down on one knee and proceeds to say;

"Julia will you take the step from being my best friend to my girlfriend?"

"Yes hayes of coarse!" I run and hug him.

We continue walking by the lake hand in hand and I decided to take him on the little pier our boats are docked at.

"Hayes oh my god!"

"What?!" he turned his head right as I went to push him in the lake. went just as planned.

"You little!-" he said as he begins to fake drown so ill save him. just to make sure i jumped in and saved him.

"You little crap! it's so cold hayes! my dress is gonna get ruined oh my god!" I said as we got out sopping wet. we grabbed the blanket and ran to my house. I went up to my room and changed out of my wet dress.

"Do you have uh anything I can wear?"

"Haha I'll check my brothers room, be back in a sec!" I said as I walked out.

I found some clothes and gave them to him.

"Ah ah ah! you will get them after you kiss me!" I joked.

"Ugh fine." he laughed as he kissed me. fireworks again! god I love this boy.

Hayes POV:

I got the clothes she gave me on and met her on her bed.

"Were a bunch hot messes." I laughed.

"I'm way hotter though!"

"Sure you are babe." I kissed her head. she was leaning up on me again like she always does. how did I get so lucky and end up with her? she's just so.. perfect. she's the reason I'm here right now. I'm not going her up any time soon.

"Hayes I'm cold and tired." she whispered.

"I can fix that, close your eyes and sleep. I'll keep you warm." I kissed her head again as I wrapped my arms around her and pulled a blanket on us. I thought for awhile about us till I dozed off into a pleasant sleep.

"Hayesie poo wake up!" Julia said as she jumped on me.

"Ugh give me five more minutes!"

"No! I need to talk to you!"

"About what?"

"I got invited to Megan's party and everyone's gonna be there, she also said I could bring you. wanna go? it's tonight.

"If it makes you happy sure."

"Yay! it's noon now, it starts at 6 lets get some lunch."

"Let me get up first baby damn!" I laughed. we got up and and lunch.

"Go home so I can stun you with how hot I look tonight!"

"But I'm gonna miss you so much!" I laughed as I left. she's the best girlfriend ever. I'm just scared for the party. what if someone tries to steal he from me? what if Dylan is there? most importantly what if that fame sucking leach Jordan is there? I can't loose Julia again.
