07. A SLIENT GOODBYE!

❛   Nothing lasts forever,
because forever is
a a lie. All we have is
what's in between
of hello and goodbye. ❜

In the small period of time Mary finished her album, What's The 411? It was released last week and debuted at #6 on the Billboard charts. They also attended the Soul Train Awards, Stormi took home Best R&B/Soul Album Female for Sweet Sexy Savage, while the boys got Best R&B/Soul Album Group, Band or Duo for Forever My Lady.

In the time being, everyone for now was on the works on designing Jodeci's Forever My Lady tour and Stormi had to fly out to LA to visit her head designer and do some promotion. She was excited to hit the road again, her second tour this year. For the past couple of weeks, DeVante and Stormi seemed to grow a little closer, but she pushed him away when he got too close to comfort. They were developing a crush on one another and if it wasn't for Mary's album production, their infatuation would've disappeared.

Stormi made a quick stop by Uptown to pick up her plane ticket from Andre's office, when she bumped into DeVante. "Aye, you leaving? I thought you were going on tour with us." He asked, shifting his weight on his feet as he fiddled with the zipper on his oversized yellow hoodie.

"I am. I just gotta go to LA real quick, my flight leaves in a hour." Stormi sighed, moving her hair out of her face. DeVante pouted his lips as she grabbed the ticket from Andre's secretary.

"Thanks." She called out, as the lady gave her a small smile.

"Why do you have go?" He whined.

"Why you acting like that? You gonna miss me or something?" Stormi smiled, holding a hand to her hip.

"Yeah I will, be safe." DeVante went up to embrace her, although he wanted to do so much more to her. He didn't know if she was comfortable, or even felt the same way.

"We'll see each other again, I'll be back in a couple of weeks." Stormi reminded, as she zipped up her jacket. DeVante nodded and smiled, although his eyes and heart reflected hurt and regret. He loved Stormi, but just didn't know how to tell her.

"Goodbye, Storm." He waved as she rushed out of the the headquarters, receiving a quick wave in return. His heart had a burning desire to run after her and beg her to stay and release his feelings, but he knew she had a career of her own to tend to and that either way, he would never have the guts to tell her about the affection he felt towards her. Probably, not even on this long tour they were set to go on.
