AANG

Ever since Katara rescued me from the ice, not everything was all perfect. I had this ongoing headache and nothing could cure me.

And on top of that, I was the freaking Avatar.

"How's the headache bud?" Katara asked me.

"Terrible... STILL." I responded.

Sokka popped his head in and said, "you don't think it is some sort of Avatar bond do you?" He pointed to my arrow suspiciously.

I came outside of the tent looking at the Southern Water Tribe's small village. The tents were lined up in rows, a huge snow wall protected the homes. In the middle was a bonfire. I yawned putting on my clothes.

I knew that Sokka was kidding but maybe he was right so I decided to head out that night.

Later that night I left a note for Katara and Sokka saying that I will return in the morning.

I grabbed my glider and every time I went East, the pain grew stronger. I followed the pain.

The pain grew almost unbearable when I was near this girl who looked like my age. She looked like she was going through the exact same pain in her head. When she turned around, I gasped because she looked exactly like me but she had longer hair.

She had a headband covering her forehead and she pulled her arms into bending position.

"What do you want?" She asked wincing.

I was in pain as well but it had suddenly disappeared and the girl noticed that too.

"I need for you to take off your headband" I responded. The girl looked then smirked. She bended some water and made the water look like extensions of her arm and whipped them at me.

I jumped around dodging them until her headband slipped off her forehead revealing an arrow.

She gasped when she noticed what she had shown to me and I smiled taking off my own headband.

In awe she looked at me and grabbed my glider and examined it.

"You are the Avatar." We stated simultaneously.

"Jinx!" We both said again crossing pinkies.

"Pinch. Poke. You owe me a coke." We said again.

"My name is Kaya from the Northern Air Temple."

"Aang. Southern Air Temple." I said, "do you have a glider?" I asked smirking.

She returned the smirk and grabbed her glider from behind her. "Duh." She took off in the sky. I followed her and we flew together through the clouds.

When we both landed we started to crack up. Remember that pain in my head yeah it's gone.

Kaya stopped laughing first. "I never wanted the responsibility of being the Avatar and now, I have someone to share it with."

"I was thinking the same thing. Hey, where do you live?"

She chuckled, "The streets. But my flying bison and I have been everywhere. I have heard about you. Then I had this awful headache."

"What's your flying bisons name?" I asked.

"Kanna"

"Do you want to come live with me? Appa would love a new friend."

"Appa?"

"My flying bison."

"Sure" Kaya waited then said, "Race ya!" She called her bison Kana and hopped on flying in the sky heading in some random direction. Then she returned and sheepishly said, "actually you lead I have no idea how to get there."

I hopped on Kanna and flew off to home.

--------------------------------------------

Katara saw me and hugged me right away. Sokka looked at Kaya and smiled.

"Looky here. Aang brought a girl." Sokka said pointing to Kaya.

I winced, "Sokka this is Kaya. She is the other Avatar." I said and almost fell laughing reading Sokka's expression.

"So wait, now we have to deal with TWO WHOLE AVATARS?!" Sokka said.

"I guess." Kaya and I said at the same time.

"How is your headache?" Katara asked me.

"Gone." I replied.

Katara and Sokka studied Kaya for a bit and then ran to hug her.

"WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!!!" Sokka and Katara yelled hugging Kaya.

"Uh Thanks." Kaya said, and then turned to me giving me a questioning look. I just shrugged in return.

"I have to go finish my chores" Katara turned to Kaya, "it would be an honor to get to know you."

"ActuallyI have some things to take care of." Sokka said.

"By things do you mean looking at your muscles in the mirror?" I asked.

"Maybe" Sokka replied. Kaya and I laughed and rolled around in the snow.

When we finally stopped I tapped Kaya on the shoulder. Curiosity took over my brain and I started spitting questions.

"How old are you? How can you water bend? Do you know about the war? Is your bison allergic to anything? Are you my long lost twin sister." I asked.

Kaya giggled, "Twelve. Studied the Northern Water Tribe. Yes. No. I don't know."

"Hey I am twelve too!" I said. Kaya weakly smiled then turned away from me.

"Sadly I studied the Northern Water Tribe because my life depended on putting the fire out that the fire benders made. Everyone doesn't suspect that I am an air bender let alone the Avatar."

"Oh" was all I could say. I smiled then blew some wind in her face from my air bending making her hair go all wild. She blew too, except that her blowing was more of a mini hurricane.

"Just because I can also water bend, doesn't mean I can't air bend." Kaya chuckled fixing her hair.

"Kaya, if you don't mind can we exchange some words with you?" Katara said walking behind me along with Sokka.

"Alright Kaya, the fire nation has begun this awful war that you and Aang are going to stop. But, we have fire benders hunting the Avatar down." Sokka explained.

"But now that there are two Avatars, you must be kept secret" Katara waited a beat then continued, " So, if a fire nation dude with a ponytail shows up ready to capture Aang only use water bending to defend him."

Kaya nodded while I huffed, "Hey! I can take care of Zuko anytime! I don't need- actually maybe you're right."

Suddenly a huge fireball was shot in Kaya's direction making her stumble backward. And then other one was at her direction but this time, she blocked it with air.

I looked around for a fire nation battle ship but nothing was in the lake. Then, fog came all around and I couldn't see Kaya.
