AANG
~2 months later~
Kaya's plan worked very well. We didn't run into fire benders for a long time.
And I mastered all of the elements.
Things were definitely looking up.
"SNEAK ATTACK!" I heard Sokka's voice scream behind me. I put an Earth wall between him and me.
"Sokka, it's not a sneak attack if you announce it." I said putting the earth wall down.
"We need something interesting to do now a days. There are no fire benders. I am starting to think I live in space and I am just hallucinating." Sokka replied.
"I hate to say this, but he is right." I heard Kaya say from behind me.
"Okay then, we will walk right into the fire nation to get a more interesting life." Katara says.
Kaya sighs and walks away from the discussion ending our talk. I head in her direction. There is something bothering her.
"Aang, why are you here go back to your friends." Kaya says her voice shaky.
"What's wrong Kaya? Why are you here?" I asked. Kaya shook her head.
"Listen Aang, once every two days I would take Appa around in towns to make sure everything is okay. Even the fire nation."
"No wonder Appa is still tired even we haven't gone anywhere."
"Yeah, and the fire nation is planning on something terrible. Not only to destroy me but to destroy the world and let it burn in flames."
"That's horrible."
"I know. This is why we need to recruit earth and water benders and one fire bender."
I widened my eyes in shock, "what do you mean a fire bender?"
"We need someone who thinks like the fire nation, and I know who we need to get."
"Who?"
"Zuko"
"No. We don't need any enemies to join our group Kaya.
"You're right what was I even thinking? A fire bender?" Kaya tried to laugh but I knew hat it was fake.
"Kaya?"
"What?"
"What's really on your mind?"
"I don't know. Something doesn't feel balanced."
"What do you mean?"
"There can't be two Avatars Aang. I think we have to try to talk to Avatar Roku for some advice."
"Avatar Roku died more than a hundred years ago."
"Exactly."
Kaya and I meditated on the rocks we were sitting on. Kaya seemed to get into the spirit world much faster than I did for some odd reason. Her arrows glowed and she took a deep breath. I squeezed my eyes shut and when I opened them again, I was in a swamp with Kaya.
"This doesn't look spiritual to me." I said sighing. Kaya felt right at home though.
"But it feels spiritual." Kaya replied and I nodded. There was a connection that I felt and it was strong.
Kaya started walking through the trees and I looked at her in utter shock. Does she know where she's going?
"Have you been here before?" I asked her.
"No, but something's telling me that Avatar Roku is this way."
She was right. After a few minutes of maneuvering through trees, it looked like Roku was waiting for us.
"Avatar Roku" we both said simultaneously.
"Avatar Roku we need advice, something tells me that balance is broken in the world but not only because of the war." Kaya said.
"Balance is broken with a spirit and a person. To maintain balance between them, the spirit must be in its immortal form." Avatar Roku says and then he disappeared.
"The only people that have access to the spirit world are you and I." I stated to Kaya.
"I got to the spirit world before you." Kaya says.
"Yeah I know. Don't rub it in."
"And there is no way that there are two Avatars. Avatars are only reborn because the Avatar before dies. You never died, I just appeared."
"Kaya, what is your point?"
"Aang, I think I am a spirit in mortal form."
