Chapter 6

(Aurora's P.O.V)

Work was calling and I rushed over to my car to be there on time. Luke was at home watching tv. I got in my car and started the engine before stepping on the gas and drove away. It was a pretty long drive of 20 minutes so to make the ride a bit more fun I turned on the radio. 'Decode' by Paramore was playing, one of my favorite songs. I tapped my finger along to the rhythm on the stirring wheel.

I was lip-syncing/singing to some of the words in the song. Safe to say I was completely in my own mind.

I kept thinking about Luke and what happened last night. I was worried about his safety. I know he said that I shouldn't be but Luke is the love of my life and it would be stupid to not worry about him because of the same reason.

I don't know what I'd do without Luke. He has always been here for me. I clearly remember the first day he stood up for me.

*flashback*

"Aurora looks weird!"

"Yea and her hair is ugly". The stupid little kid called Brad yelled at me with his friends behind him. They pushed me against one of the playground houses. Brad grabbed a large lock of my hair and pulled hard.

"Ouch! Stop! Please!" I yelled and begged Brad to stop. He just laughed along with his other friends and pulled harder.

"Hey!" A small scared-looking little boy yelled to Brad which caught his attention. Brad turned around looking at the boy who was now standing right beside Brad.

"Leave her alone. She didn't do anything wrong". My mysterious hero said.

"Fine". Brad said and ran off with his friends.

"Are you okay?" The kid lowered his hand down for me to take.

All I could do was nod and lay my hand in his. He pulled me up to my feet.

"I'm Luke". Luke said with a smile and let go of my hand.

"I-I'm Aurora"

"You don't have to be nervous. I won't hurt you. And I'm not gonna let them hurt you either". Luke said assuringly.

I smiled and thanked him. We played together until our mums came to pick us up. Since that day we played together everyday.

*present*

All of those happy memories made me smile as I gently pressed down the gas to drive into the parking lot.

That's when it happened.

I really did not see it coming.

The car.

The memories of Luke was playing in my mind before it all went black.

DUH! DUH! DUUUUH! Aurora's P.O.V of the car crash. I wonder how Luke will take this? And what will happen to Aurora?
