After Chaeyoung had stormed off in silence (leaving Mina alone to rethink all the wrong decisions she may have made) the two had barely caught each other's eyes, let alone engaged in any sort of communication. It was as if they were strangers.
Of course, there was the occasional awkward crossover between the two, often initiated by Dahyun, who would enthusiastically attempt to force an interaction between them, but to no such avail.
Instead, both Chaeyoung and Mina both unknowingly tried their hardest to avoid each other and both were doing a pretty good job.
Even after a few weeks had passed of this behavior occurring between the two, Chaeyoung still was not able to get used to the happiness that Mina's face held when she was with Jae; the couple becoming well-known and loved on campus.
If Chaeyoung ever was to see them together, it made her heart ache, adding just a little bit more to the heaviness that had already made itself at home in her chest.
As for the others, they were all very confused by the whole situation (bar Jeongyeon who knew about Mina and Chaeyoung's romantic mess).
Jihyo couldn't get anything out of Jeongyeon, so she had resorted to creating (insane) theories about what could have happened with the help of Tzuyu, during what had become their regular-lunchtime-spent-in-the-library meetings. The best one they had come up with so far was that Mina had accidentally made Chaeyoung eat beans (which she despised) and Chaeyoung had gotten so angry that they hadn't spoken since.
Since Jihyo was spending less time with the group and Tzuyu had completely abandoned Dahyun, naturally Sana, Momo and Dahyun drifted closer together, making a loud, idiotic trio, often receiving disapproving glances from their professors.
And Jeongyeon? Jeongyeon had to deal with Chaeyoung's angsty-ness during the day and her butt-hurt-ness over the whole situation during the evening.
You could say Mina was doing better than Chaeyoung. In fact, Mina was doing a lot better than Chaeyoung, mostly due to the fact that spending time with Jae always lifted her mood. She genuinely did like him. Of course she liked Chaeyoung more, but she liked Jae too. And it wasn't like she was only going out with Jae to rid her feeling for the smaller girl.
She really did like him.
That's what she told herself.

Nayeon watched the adjustments that had taken place over the few months, noticing little changes in Mina's character only (since she didn't really talk to any of the other apart from Jihyo).
What about Momo, you may ask? Nayeon did eventually confess (due to Jennie's constant taunting) but Momo's answer only hurt Nayeon.
Here's how the conversation played out:
"Momo? Can I talk to you?"
Momo looked up from her lunch at the older girl and hummed in response. "Yeah what's up Nayeonie?"
With a sigh Nayeon continued. "Momo, I like you.."
Momo nodded in agreement, "I'm glad you do Nabongs! I like you too!" Clueless to her obvious misinterpretation.
Nayeon gave her a look of defeat, "No I mean I like you. I like you more than a friend."
"Oh. OH. Like that? Oh. Shit Nayeon, I'm really sorry. I'm not gonna lie, I did have feelings for you for a little while... but now? I'm so sorry Nayeon. I like someone else."
"Oh, okay. I'll see you around then."
"Nayeon wait!"
Ignoring Momo's calls, Nayeon walked off, embarrassed but most of all annoyed with herself. Why didn't she confess just a little earlier. Then maybe everything would have worked out.
