Mina woke up suddenly to two things that seemed out of place. One was the subtle stench of smoke trailing it's way into her room.
The other was the empty space next to her that should have been occupied by none other than Son Chaeyoung.
Mina quickly rolled out of her bed, grimacing as she left its warmth, making her way to the kitchen with a sense of urgency. A string of curse words caught her ears as she spun round, met with the scene of Chaeyoung waving around a smoking frying pan, with some sort of charred mess laying limply on top.
"Chaeyoung, what are you doing?" Mina spoke, raising her eyebrows as she analysed the situation.
The younger girl set the frying pan back down on the stove in a panic, startled by Mina's appearance, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. "I- uhhh, I was trying to make breakfast. I had a few issues..." She answered, gesturing vaguely to the stove.
Mina's eyes widened as she rushed forward, the pan promptly bursting into flames.
"The stove is still on genius!" She yelled, lurching forward to turn it off. Grabbing a towel, she beat down the flames until there was just a smoking mess on the stove top.
With the smoke alarm blaring in the background, Chaeyoung ran around opening every window in sight, flailing her arms around in attempt to clear the smoke.
"Sorry... I was trying to be cute and make you breakfast in bed," Chaeyoung muttered, making her way over to Mina, who stood in her oversized t-shirt and pyjama shorts, hair still messy from bed.
Mina grinned and shook her head, walking over to the younger girl and enveloping her in her arms, her chin resting on the side of Chaeyoung's head.
"You know..." Mina murmured. "You don't have to try. You're already cute. Maybe just leave the cooking to me though."
Chaeyoung sighed and hummed in agreement, pulling away slightly as her stomach let out a loud rumble.
"Let's just go out and get breakfast, yeah?" Mina laughed, shaking her head. "I'm going to go get ready, so whilst you're waiting, you can clean up this mess!"
Since she was the cause of the mess, Chaeyoung couldn't really refuse, but that didn't stop her scowling in distaste.
"Stop being grumpy and hurry up, we don't want to get caught in the morning rush now do we?"
"Fine, just don't take too long, I'm hungry," Chaeyoung pouted, turning round to make her way back to stove, which had thankfully stopped smoking.
"-Wait, one more thing!" Mina grabbed Chaeyoung's wrist, pulling her back.
She cupped the shorter girl's face in her hands, laying a gentle kiss on her lips.
"I forgot to say good morning."
-
"We can't tell Chaeyoung... Or Mina for that matter. They'll kill him!"
"That wouldn't be such a bad thing, now would it?"
"Tzuyu! We do NOT condone violence!"
"I'm just saying..."
Jihyo shook her head as she listened to her girlfriend and Dahyun bicker, causing a few other people within the cafe to throw disapproving glances the group's way. As well as these three, Sana, Momo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Jackson sat around a table, either sipping at drinks or eating something or another (Momo was doing both).
"Would you two SHUT UP!" Jihyo stood up, her hands balled into fists as she glared at Tzuyu and Dahyun, who became silent in an instant.
She sat back down with a huff, then turned to look at Jackson expectantly.
