Hank and Connor

December 5th, 2038

After the whole fiasco at Eden Club yesterday, Hank had dropped Lee off at home, knowing both she and Connor took the brunt of the beatings from the Tracis, but since Connor was an android, the hits he took didn't effect him compared to Lee who was a bruised and sore mess. Immediately after, she requested to be taken home so she could pop a valium and sleep off the bruises. "You'll be okay right Lee?" Hank had asked her when he and Connor had walked her to her front door. Lee gave Hank a thumbs up, smiling through her pain. "I'll live, I'll just take a valium and a very hot bubble bath," she replied. Hank had given her a hug, wishing her a good night before walking back to his car, leaving her alone with Connor. Lee had given Connor a shy smile, thanking him once again for saving her. "You're welcome Lee, you have a...good night," Connor had said softly. Their gazes lingered on one another longer than it should before Hank honked loudly, causing the two to jump and quickly say goodnight again before Lee closed the door behind her.

When Connor had gotten back into the car, Hank stared at him with a look Connor couldn't decipher. "What?" Connor asked, almost defensively. Hank smirked and shook his head at Connor, starting the car. "Nothing, nothing at all," he replied back to the android as he drove off.

Now, for some reason Hank had driven him and Connor to an empty park that overlooked the water and the a lit bridge. A light snow had already begun and as Connor sat in the car, the Knights of the Black Death blaring loudly in the car, he tossed a gaze to his left to see Hank sitting on the park bench, already downing a drink. Tired of the sound of heavy metal, Connor exited the car, walking over to Hank was currently downing a beer bottle. Connor stood next to Hank who looked at him. "Nice view, huh?" He asked. "I used to.come here alot before..." He quiets dow, not finishing his sentence and settles for taking another swig of his beer. They sit in silence for a moment before Connor turns to Hank. "Can I ask you a personal question, Lieutenant?" He asks, his brows furrowing. Hank scoffs and slowly shakes his head. "Do all androids ask so many personal questions or is it just you?" Connor crosses his arms and says, "I saw a photo of a child on your kitchen table..." Hank frowms deeply and looks down.

**HANK: vvv - FRIEND**

"Yeah...His name was Cole." Hank doesn't say anymore before drinking some more beer. Connor frowns a little and walks away from Hank, sighing deeply as he looked out at the water before them. He then looked back at Hank, his arms crossing again. "We're not making any progress on this investigation...The deviants have nothing in common. They're all different models, produced at different times, in different places..." Hank shrughed his shoulders, sighing deeply. "Well there must be some link." Connor's LED swirled yellow as he thought and his brows shot up as he looked at Hank. "What they have in common is this obssession with rA9...it's almost like some kind of myth. Something they invented that wasn't a part of their original program..."

"Androids believing in God...Fuck what's this world coming to?" Hank said, taking another swig of his beer before removing the bottle from his lips, his facr scrunched up as if he were in deep thought.

"You seem...preoccupied, Lieutenant," Connor commented. "Is it something to do with what happened back at Eden Club?"

"Those two girls... they just wanted to be together," Hank began. "They really seemed...in love." Connor frowned and shook his head. "They didn't  want anything. Their emotions, their desires, their wants and even their love that they feel are simply errors in their software," Connor said with a deep frown, sounding almost defensive. Hank raised a brow at the tone in his voice and looks hard at Connor. "Well what about Lee, Connor?" He asks. Hank watches as Connor visibly bristles at the mention of Lee and his LED turn yellow. "What about Lee, what does she have to do with this?" Connor asks almost quickly,  turning away from Hank which causes the older and drunken man to smile knowingly. "She has everything to do with this," Hank said with a rugged laugh. "I've read the reports Connor and I've seen the way you've looked at her. Are you telling me when you see Lee, you don't have some sort of emotion? There is no want or desire you feel?"
