"Here's your dinner. Red went out, so I made it...I don't know how good it is though," Felix admitted shyly, placing the bowl of soup in Changbin's hands.
For the next two days after Changbin's fainting spell, Felix refused to let the older boy do any type of training. The only time he even allowed him to get out of bed was to use the bathroom or take a quick walk outside to get fresh air. Those strict rules and regulations ended up making Changbin feel restrained and trapped, though Felix's intentions were only to keep the older boy safe and healthy. But, Changbin began to feel like he was back in the restraints that kept him tied down to a bed. The only difference was that his restraints weren't visible, and before they'd been objects. Now, he was imprisoned by his strange feelings towards the younger boy that had been taking such good care of him (despite not allowing him to leave his bed). Felix got him whatever he needed, brought him food and water, made sure to take his temperature every couple of hours, and kept a close eye on his partner to the best of his abilities. The brunette was only trying to assure Changbin's safety; although he definitely could have been doing it in a better, less controlling way.
"It's good," Changbin mumbled, taking another bite of the freshly prepared soup that Felix had spent over an hour making, though he'd never admit to it.
He'd made sure to follow the recipe his mother taught him to a T. In the end, he thought that it turned out okay, and he just hoped that Changbin would like it. After hearing that he did, the clenching feeling in his chest released, and he breathed a tiny sigh of relief.
"Can we take a walk after dinner?" Changbin asked as Felix headed for the door to serve himself dinner.
"Do you feel up to it?" The younger boy asked.
Even though the raven haired boy had been the one to ask, he still needed confirmation as to how the older boy was feeling.
"I feel good," Changbin nodded.
He'd been better after the first night, but Felix was insistent on making him stay in bed for another full day before he could even consider letting him train again.
"Okay then," Felix said.
"We'll go as soon as you're done eating."
In order to make sure that he'd be ready whenever Changbin was, the Australian ate his food quickly. He also made sure to leave a note for the others, who were out on a mission, letting them know that he'd made enough food for all of them to eat as soon as they returned, and all they'd have to do was heat up a bowl of the soup in the microwave.
"Are you ready to go now?" Changbin asked as soon as Felix popped back into the room.
The taller boy nodded.
"If you are," he replied.
The two of them set out, but Changbin wasn't very content with just walking a few circles around the backyard. They'd been doing that a few times a day, because Felix was unsure of how long he should let Changbin be outside and moving around, and the older boy had grown tired of the same motions after the second time.
"Hey, where are you going?" Felix questioned, turning around when he noticed that Changbin was walking in the opposite direction.
"Higher up the mountain. The air up there is cleaner," the older boy responded.
After two days of laying in bed, breathing the same air in and out, he needed a change. Whether Felix approved or not didn't really matter to Changbin, and whether or not he came...Well, that was simply up to the Australian to decide.
"Okay," the taller boy said.
He let Changbin lead the way. Though he worried about the raven haired boy walking up the mountain, Felix could see that he really didn't want to be stuck walking around the yard anymore. In the dense forest that surrounded the hideout, the sky vanished almost completely. Only a few fragments of light blue remained; like the scattered pieces of an impossible jigsaw puzzle. Felix could see why Changbin enjoyed it so much. It felt lonely when neither of them were speaking, even if they were walking side by side. The air was rich with the fragrance of pine. The only movement was that of the occasional bird startling in a tree or a squirrel dashing up a nearby trunk.
