Jeongin and Seungmin still hadn't been able to see eye to eye. The younger boy was beyond frustrated with the older, and eventually, Jeongin became tired of arguing. So, he left the room and told Seungmin to look for a new partner. Those words, while Seungmin knew they were just words to make him feel bad, were hurtful; even if the younger boy didn't really plan on changing partners.

"I just don't understand why he's so caught up in Felix and Changbin's personal life," Jeongin ranted to Woojin and Hyunjin.

"Seungmin's intelligence is a mystery. He has to keep his brain occupied at all times. This is just his way of thinking about something in order to keep his mind busy," Hyunjin reasoned.

But Jeongin couldn't see the logic behind the older boy's words. He didn't want to see the logic in them, either. He was angry at Seungmin, and there was a part of him that wanted to stay angry at Seungmin.

"That's not an excuse to not help me out on missions and skip training! He's been a terrible partner since Felix showed up and I...I hate him for it," Jeongin said, bringing his knees up to his chest.

"You don't hate him, Jeongin," Woojin stated knowingly.

"I do," the younger boy insisted.

"I hate him."

I hate him because he's so unfair, the younger boy thought dishearteningly to himself. It's not fair that all I do is try and protect him and take care of him, and yet lately, he's treated me like a waste of his oh so precious time.

"You don't," Hyunjin stated, shaking his head.

"You might be angry with him right now, but you'd never actually hate him."

Deep inside, Jeongin was well aware of the fact that he didn't hate the redhead. He was far from hating Seungmin. But he was angry, and in a lot of ways, he felt betrayed by the older boy.

"It's just not fair," Jeongin stated, tears forming in his eyes.

"I've always been there for him. Even when he's a complete jerk, I never treat him like he's nothing. I've always been a good partner..." he trailed off as the tears made their way down his cheeks.

But the tears he shed in those brief moments weren't out of anger or frustration. There wasn't any type of other meaning behind them...Jeongin was just sad, and that was the bottom line.

"It doesn't matter if you can't see why, Seungmin! Sometimes, you just have to bite the bullet and apologize in order to save a friendship," Chan stated.

"Given that tooth enamel is at most two point five millimeters thick at the crown, and tooth enamel is extremely brittle, and a jacketed round is incomprehensible due to the lead inside, and the lead used in most rounds is either jacketed or an alloy to avoid gumming up the barrel of the gun, the only thing that would come out of me biting a bullet is most likely a broken tooth, depending on how hard I bit down and how much force I put on my jaw. However, if the bullet was first fired from a gun-"

"See, this is why Jeongin is fed up with you," Jisung interrupted.

"Since you're just so incredibly smart, let me put this in terms that you should easily be able to understand, yeah?" Minho joined the conversation forcefully, looking the redhead directly in the eyes.

"You've been a really, really shitty partner these past three weeks. Jeongin is tired of it. You've been so absorbed in Felix's personal life, in Changbin's personal life, in whatever relationship they may or may not have; to the point that you've been seriously neglecting your own partner. You've been so preoccupied with other things, that you haven't noticed how lonely and worthless you've made Jeongin feel. That's why he's angry with you, and that's why you need to go and say that you're sorry. Because, if you don't, you're going to lose your best friend."
