"Students!" Professor Carrow boomed. His sister was standing at the head of the Gryffindor table, smirking. None of the tables had food yet. Considering that this was not the first meal at Hogwarts this year, it was unusual. McGonagall looked furious. "We have had some...erm...problematic students from different houses this year. We have decided to punish these houses." I glanced at Neville, hoping he would have the faintest idea of what was going on. He just shrugged. "The best-behaved house, Slytherin, receives the normal amount of food." Parvati's eyes widened as the Slytherin table filled with food. "The next best house, Hufflepuff, will be getting 3/4 of the normal food rations consumed." Consumed, not even given. "And second to last, Ravenclaw, receives 1/2 of the normal amount consumed." Ravenclaw had 15 people at most. They were the second to smallest house. They couldn't have gotten much food. They didn't get nearly enough for even the handful of Ravenclaws to have even 3/4 of a decent meal.

"And last, Gryffindor. My my my, I'm disappointed in your performance over the last two days. Unfortunately, you will have to starve until you shape up. 1/8 of the average amount consumed."

"What?" Neville roared.

"Outrageous!" Lavender yelled.

"Rubbish! That's rubbish!" I called out. I'm turning into Fred!

"Would you prefer less? Because that can be arranged," snarled Carrow, her eyes lighting up at the thought.

"What do you suppose we do?" I asked Neville in a hushed tone, praying that Carrow didn't hear me.

"The only thing we have left to do, Ginny. Tonight at 6:30, Room of Requirement. Tell Luna."

We split the food up, mostly focusing on giving the younger students enough so they weren't practicing magic on a completely empty stomach.

"Oh, I have detention," I pointed out after we finished our meager meals.

"Right. As soon as possible for you, then," Neville pointed out.

"Right, then. Don't start 'till I'm there."
